Help i Can't update my Samsung Galaxy Y Software! Why is it so?

Hello everyone.... I bought Samsung Galaxy Y from UK... But now i'm living in india... Whenever i went to update my Software here [Settings->About Phone]... It says no updates available.... But my friends update to next version... why cant i??? Is there any way to update my Software manually???

Android Version = 2.3.5
