Recently, everytime my phone charge says its complete, the charge goes down one seemingly right after i go to start using it. Also just tonight, i charged it, unplugged from the wall, and began to play a song on my phone, and about a minute into the song, my phone just shut down and so i had to turn it back on. Does anyone know what could be wrong and what i could do to maybe fix the problem? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. BTW in case you are wondering, I have had the phone since July of 2011.

Welcome to the AndroidForums, CM1984.

I've moved your thread to the Milestone X forum where the good folks in there should be able to give you some good advice.

Cheers and good luck!

edit: oops! I just saw your other thread and that there's not a lot of threads here in the Milestone X forum :(. Which is probably why you posted in the Android Lounge...

I own a Droid X, which I understand should be very similar to your Milestone X, but I'm not sure what it could be. I'm guessing some kind of loose connection / short maybe? Is the battery loose behind the door?

You could try a different battery I suppose... Also, you could search in the Droid X forums (try the http://androidforums.com/droid-x-support-troubleshooting/ first to see if someone has posted something in there.

If you do end-up posting in there, be sure to indicate that you know you are posting in the DX forums because the devices are similar (I believe) and that there's not many threads in the Milesone X area.

Ping me on PM or reply back to this thread if you get any grief about posting in the wrong area, but hopefully they'll be understanding if you explain things.

Cheers (for a second time :))!

Does anyone know much about the app Advanced Task Killer? Ive had that on my phone for a couple months now and just uninstalled that tonight. I read some bad things about that app so i got rid of it. Has anyone had any bad experiences with Advanced Task Killer? Just wondering, in case that could be the problem.

Yeah, you probably don't need it...killing apps was sometimes necessary in versions of Android prior to 2.1, but is mostly a bad idea nowadays.

Android 2.1 and above utilize a very good memory management strategy and trying to "free-up" space by killing background processes will, on balance and in reality, do more harm (use more resources) than good (free-up resources).

I know, in some ways, that's a little counter-intuitive, but its really true.

That's also not to say that sometimes you might need to legitimately stop/kill tasks that you know are misbehaving...but regularly stopping them is just causing extra work for your device.

I don't know if ATK is the cause of your battery draining issues, but things like this that run in the background and do regular tasks (such as others that do background syncing) could very well contribute to a quick battery drain.

Take a look at this thread by our fine Guide, colchiro:

http://androidforums.com/droid-x-support-troubleshooting/378403-those-you-complaining-about-awful-battery-life.html

He's got some great ideas in there that might help you zero-in on your issues.

Hope that helps...cheers and good luck! :)
