Root [Boost Mobile] [RELEASE] Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7-Beta2 For warp Released today

I'll have to do it tomorrow and/or saturday (gtg in 5 minutes + school tomorrow)

edit: after doing a backup (481 MB on my SD card free), it says in the last lines:

Backing up data...
Error while making a backup image of /data!

What could this mean? Do I not have enough free space?

yeh it means u dont have enough free space, the data partition is huge, it's also about how many apps you have installed into the data partition too. Clear your dalvik cache and try again.

I could probably create a batch script for cwm, but it's gonna take me a bit since Im also doing cm7 at the same time. Im still building the initial build of cm7 for testing purposes, if everything works... I'll release and post my settings code on a github so other ppl can use it to build from source

Did you tested Restore ? :D

I personally tested restore myself, and no ftm doesnt work i dont think, I have yet to test it. It didnt work with hroark's build and i doubt it'll work with mine, but you can give it a try

[EDIT]
actually it works, I just tested it while my computer was hooked up to my windows pc, Comes up as zte handset diagnostic interface(DFU) (com9) which is ftm mode.

OK n00b question. I have the warp and a prevail I have been too scared to try cwm or anything besides rooting. So the question if one were to try the cwm recovery and not be happy with the results it can be restored to factory with the zte upgrade tool? Right? With the only ill effect being any apps not backed up on the SD card will be lost?

If I should have posted some where else please redirect me to the appropriate place. Just thought this would be an appropriate place being it is a cwm beta release.

Effing n00bs ehh?

Well 'till quietstorm releases his cm7 port :D I don't think you need the cwm

it only allow custom rom to be installed and other goodies

back 2 ur question..... Yes you can go back to stock recovery

as easy as how you installed the cwm.. The same guide
btw you don't lose anything installing cwm nor going back to the stock...

Not true. We could make some nandroid backups for people to restore with if they have any issues or highly customized nandroid backups with gingerbread (Replaced launcher/bloatware removed/themed/barebones).
BTW if you want to go back to stock recovery just flash the same way as you flashed the CWM recovery. Here is the download link. http://android.podtwo.com/beta/ztewarp/stock_recovery.img

PHP:
adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader
fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery stock_recovery.img
fastboot-windows.exe reboot
adb-windows.exe reboot recovery

You also turn on FTM Diagnostic mode from the dialer while in android. Just dial *983*87274# and choose "only Diag". When your done with it you will have to dial *983*87274# again and choose "AT". So there are more ways than one to get to diag mode AKA FTM mode.

Ok I have a problem, I backed up using cwm, then wiped (accidently wiped system) then tried to restore and it says MD5 mismatch, now when I connect to my pc while in cwm I cannot adb in to restore original recovery to ftm and restore original system with zte webupdate tool. Pc dosent recognize adb device. So unless I get a CM7 rom to flash in cwm recovery I am bricked......any help?

OR can someone upload a good cwm backup of a factory resetted rom for me to restore so I can adb in and get into bootloader mode?

Thats not true. It doesnt have to be a CM7 rom. Someone can do a backup (nandroid backup) of their phone and share it with you. I would suggest whoever does does a data, cache, and devlik cache wipe first. This way you would have like a new Warp. I dont know why people think CWM is only to flash CM7.

Doh now I see your last edit. I will get a nandroid backup later for you.
