What is the typical time from FCC to market? My upgrade is in less than 2 weeks and while I'd prefer the N1, I'd rather just get the Droid than wait 2 months.

some are released imediately, some are never released. just kinda depends. but it looks like google is staying with there spring release date. although i doubt it will be released untill after march 22.

No sim logo on the battery cover like the other ones have. If it doesn't have a sim slot I guess it won't be too much use abroad (besides connecting to wifi).

I really hope they (Google) patches the phone so it has customizable LED notifications (no software will allow it now---unless rooted I think). That was one of my major gripes when I briefly had my Nexus One.

There's no SIM slot, and an N1 with ATT 3G bands has already cleared the FCC many weeks ago. This is almost certainly Verizon-bound.

I'm very excited about the Nexus One heading to Verizon. I know their testing phase is long, but I wouldn't be suprised if they had been testing it this entire time so it can be announced at CTIA. SO.... anyone want to buy an Eris in a month???? ^_^

Working (but not perfectly) with rooted apps though.

I really wanted this to be a World Phone too--and you'd think Google would be all for that. Anyway... do you think there are many wifi spots in Vietnam/China? I'm fairly sure if I go to South Korea, Japan, or Hong Kong that I'll be fine, but the other two countries... not so sure.

Whats Verizon's policy on returning phones? More specifically, if I buy a Droid then 2 weeks later try to return it for the N1. What happens if its not in perfect condition (not trying to buy a case for a phone I'll return 2 weeks later)?

I think there is a 30-day return policy and a $40 or so restocking fee.

If you return a phone and just re-activate your old phone for about a week, you avoid the restocking fee. That's only charged if you return a phone within 30 days and exchange for another new phone.

Had vzw and sprint 3g for two years. No simultaneous voice and data, resulting in missed calls while using data, and lack of coverage overseas was a major pain. Now that i have GSM, will never go back to cdma again.

I don't know about that, Verizon is notorious for locking their phone down to their network--although it seems contradictory with Google's practices.

I think Motorola or some other company is trying to find a way to get around that issue. I believe that's part of the reason why Verizon is moving onto LTE for their 4G move.
