Boost Mobile?!

A few months ago, there were rumors that the LG Marquee was eventually on its way to Virgin Mobile, but up to now, there have been no signs of that. Now it looks like the phone formerly known as the LG Optimus Black might be headed to Sprint's other pre-paid carrier, Boost Mobile.

LG Marquee and Samsung Replenish Leaked For Boost Mobile

This phone would be the only reason why I'd leave Virgin Mobile behind. Quite a bit tired of my Triumph already to be honest. =/
I really haven't heard great things about the Triumph. I almost got that one myself. Another reason to switch from Virgin to Boost would be the ZTE Warp, IMO. :D

The phone does have a very nice screen, even in direct sunlight. It runs smooth enough for what I need it for, even with the single core.

There is root available for the LG Marquee already, in case you've missed it. I've been using Ti Backup, Root Explorer, and Superuser with no problems so far. Just hope some attention gets thrown this way and hopefully get a few custom ROMs available.

Where can I find the root for lg marquee? Silly question but can the phone be rooted the same way I did my prevail?

The root can be found here:

The below link is for the LG Drivers 3.2.1_2. I've heard some people not being able to get the LG 1.0 drivers to work, myself included, but the 3.2.1_2 drivers worked like a charm:

Anyone here have the LG Marquee on Boost?

If so, how is it running for you?

I really do not care about rooting or ROMS. I am more interested in the stock phone and how it works with Boost.

Thanks.
Ive had mine for 2 days. I must say I am still on edge with the phone. I think the ZTE Warp is a better choice. The Marquee seems to have brain farts....meaning its not as responsive as it should be. I have to tap on apps several times and web browsing can be annoying at times. There are a lot of features that I do love about it but so far I am not that impressed when comparing it to the Warp.

Thanks for the info on your experiences with the phone. Please post more of your feedback on the phone if you get a chance.

I am debating on switching from Virgin Mobile to Boost, so I am trying to gather information about the phones on Boost.

I do not trust reviews from magazines (print or online) because they have given good reviews to phones that customers later report as total duds.

Me and my brother are debating between these two. I want to go with the warp, but my concerns are the sound quality, camera, and screen detaching.

well, the screen on the warp should be the least of your worries, the damn :D freezing and rebooting when using some apps is annoying, the screen problem really hasn't been an issue for me, I am using a soft gel protector and really hasn't been an issue... as for the sound quality, the sound is low, but a download of an equalizer app has solved that problem, the camera, well I don't have any complaints... my next android will probably be a flashed HTC from whoever flashes phones to Boost...

I was thinking of getting some type of store warranty at time of purchase. Is the sound quality like the htc evo 3d? Another concern is if it gets good reception. Im in a not so good coverage area. I'm getting 1-3 bars on my optimus slider. I can't stream at home but it gets the job done otherwise
Thanks

I have no clue on the HTC sound....your optimus running on boosts IDEN network? My old boost pay as you go on their IDEN network I would have hit or miss service at my house. Now that I am on boost android plan and running on their CDMA network, in places in my house that I had no srvice, now get 2 bars minimum....

I just got mine yesterday and I love it. I doubt i'm putting any custom roms up here. To me they cause more issues that they fix. The phone is a little laggy thou. I want to over/under clock mine and play with the voltages. And i'm definitely getting their insurance. Made that mistake with my last phone

Hopefully you're one of the lucky ones and have no issues.... keep us posted....
