I have had this Eris For almost 2weeks. I Work For verizon and Ive had the ability to Swap bateries and compare it to other eris. I went to bed the other night with NOTHING RUNNING, NOTHING app killer killed tham all, no wifi no bluetooth no PUSH on my emails, Nothing.. 30% when i went to bed at 330am DEAD when i woke up at 830am.. WTF MAN... My Iphone Kicks this phones ass in battery life (Words I never imagined to Speak) Ive set it next to a coworkers Eris for lil over an hour with Nothing running on either and after the hour i had lost 12% and his had lost 2%... I bought It from an ebay store and they have a return Policy which im still with in, Should i return or do any of you have/had this problem and know a fix... Its not the battery, ive tried multiple Batteries.. oh and we both had the Same Widgets on our phones so its not those. Thanks IN advance... its nice to come from working for att to verizon now if the phones only didnt give me issues...

Ya WE are offered a Dealer Plan but have to Buy the phone Outright. I have a contract With At&t so i chose to get the dealer plan. 315 is what i paid on ebay, rather than the 450 i woulda by getting it at work. Ya i believe its a phone issue as well, Damni didnt wanna go a week with out a phone.. but at 25 bucks a month unlimited i guess i cant complain

I never knew there were that many people in the world that could not spell the word "Lose" or the word "Losing". It really does surprise me every single time I see it, but people do it all over the internet. Not a stab at you directly, just an observation.

As for your problem, something is keeping your phone awake, or your phone is losing 3G coverage and switching to 1x, which kills your battery. I know it really sucks, but you'll figure it out.

ya my phone is always having no bars of 3g. I rarely see it switch to 1x but its always on 0 bars of 3g.. ya lol i spose i cant spell..

That could be your problem, my phone switches back and forth from 3G to 1X all day at work because I have no service. O bars of 3G tells me that it is switching to 1x but doing it off and on so you don't even notice it.

As for the spelling thing, I'm an ass and I spell horrible myself most of the time.

If you have bad/no 3g signal that will KILL your battery fast.
Download the app. network toggle switch, put the icon on your home screen and when you are in work or an area that you know there is no 3g, just toggle 3g/mobile networks off and you will still get phone calls and text messages. I do this all the time up at my cottage in the woods because I know there is a crappy 3g up there.

You work for Verizon, but bought a relatively new phone through a third party on eBay?

Mine phone has been unplugged for at least 36 hours, light use. I'm at 63%. Mine phone, nor The Missus's, have ever showed the kind of battery drain you are describing.

I'm thinking you have phone issues....

Having 63% battery left after 36 hours of use is NOT typical for this phone though. Maybe you just let it sit on the counter for 2 days, but most people do not and the battery will drain much faster. Not as fast as he is describing though, which is not normal.

If you have followed all the suggestions in the sticky on battery life, then I would think it is a problem with the phone and return it while you still can. What you are experiencing is NOT normal. Yes, the battery life in general is not great with this phone (with normal use), but it should last you through a whole day at least!

FYI...it could happen
I know because it happened to me up at my cottage in the mountains.
If you are in a place where there is bad or NO 3g signal, the phone will kill the battery in hours, because its working waaaay to hard to find 3G. I fixed this by shutting off the 3G at the cottage and just using it as a phone and texting.
