I am starting believe that ICS is having problems running the hardware on the few devices that run it. It would seem so with no updates to fix the current issues.
ICS is all new and everyone thought that the Razr and the Rezound would have officially had ICS at this point.

My point is that we maybe wanting for an ICS polishing and that would mean 4.1.0 as the rumors grow on.;)
Lets face it 4.0.3 is not doing much.

there's already a guy in the vzw root forum that got 4.0.4 OTA

Hiya =)

I am jbdan of the McCloud Clan

edit: isn't that from BraveHeart I can't recall....

thought I'd made it up for a sec

Ask BB. lol

The actual quote would be "Connor Macleod of the clan McCloud" from the movie Highlander. There is a hockey player for Colorado named McCleod and every time they mention him in a game I say that quote. My girlfriend HATES it. lol

Morning everyone. Had a scare last night, while running on the treadmill, my arm got caught on my headphone wire and yanked my phone off its spot on the treadmill and down onto the belt, where I proceeded to step on it before it was shot off the back of the treadmill by the belt. It landed face down, and I thought for sure I would turn it over to find a smashed screen, but to my relief, no damage. Whew!

Show of hands as an on-going example of my tester methodology - how many here suffering the call problem are using their phones as a music player that day? Video player? Web media player?

Sorry if I'm hogging the discussion, I promise I'll lay back a bit now. :)
Hmmmm, Interesting, I was streaming XM until about an hour before it happened yesterday...

Yikes! Glad all is well. When I went to the gym (admittedly, I don't anymore ), I had a cheap Sandisk Sansa Clip mp3 player I used. It was super lightweight, 4gig, had a built in clip and got it on Amazon for about $30.
(always nice to hear stories about a solidly built phone. After so easily trashing the screen on our GT 10.1, I was a bit weary of Samsung durability)

Yeah, I have an iPod Nano, but no music on it, as I just sent in my 1st Gen for that battery recall, and got a 6th gen to replace it. PLUS I am using couch 2 5k app to train for 5k at the end of March. There is a thread complaining about broke screens, I do think the screen is easier to break just because of a lack of bezel, edge and corner hits can be deadly. But thankfully mine was OK...

What was the problems with the Nanos, were they catching on fire or something?

A big part of my job (and always has been) is troubleshooting so I'm all for it. Using the power of the Internet, public discussions, and the fact that we're all pretty darn nice people in here sounds like a FANTASTIC idea for trying to figure this problem out. EarlyMon, while I'm not trying to throw you under the bus, you've gotten us off to a great start with your ideas so if you wanted to take a leadership role on this with more suggestions, guidance, organization, etc., I'm all for it. I'm a big boy so you can tell me to go fly a kite if you're interested in more of a hands-off approach. :)

The one-way audio issue happened to me once today (at 10:17 AM), twice yesterday (at 2:40 PM and 11:29 AM) and once Wednesday (at 6:56 PM). I thought it was three times yesterday but it was only twice. All times are EST. When it happened this morning, it happened the instant I answered the phone... and that's the first time THAT'S happened. It's always been at least a few minutes into the call.

I'm not saying it is a regional issue, as I've read that plenty of other people across the US are having the same problem. But my Spidey Sense tingles when I read about all the folks in my area that have the issue.

Why do guys at the oil change place think they can scare me into getting hundreds of dollars worth of work done? If I wanted work done I'd bring it to a shop. I just want the oil changed!!

Fortunately, my wife takes care of the car duties (she uses it for work after all!). When we had to dump her old one it was because it needed $1400+ just to get on the road! Most of which was preventive care that she never took hold of. This was nearly a week before our wedding which we had to drive to NC for. My boss at work lent us their (old as hell) minivan to get there!
Long story short, I'm glad I'm able to commute to work by bus/metro :D
(but now that I'm on the line for our new car, I make sure it's taken care of :))

Unfortunately, they probably have a pretty good success rate:(.

Just like they say you have the have an oil change every three thousand miles. When I let them know my owners manual says 7500 miles, they go the Hard Driving route and then define that as anything you possibly do with a car. That's when I show the where in my manual it clearly defines hard driving as like "constantly driving on dusty dirt roads" not because my commute is only 8 miles.

Our dealership for my wife's car is the same way. So annoying. They got her last time, they had a special for brake pads, so I sent her in since she needed them, well they managed to talk her into an "upgraded" service that wasn't on special, so cost us over twice as much. Turns out all it did was put performance pads that reduce brake fade. But she drives a freakin mini-van, pretty sure she is never going to be doing anything to heat up the brakes enough to experience brake fade.

The dealer for MY car is bad about always putting 3k on the sticker. But last time I asked for them to put 5k, they did it, but tried to charge me 12 dollars for the 5k service plan. So back to 3k on the sticker and I will bring it in every 5k.

My car is one thing that I definitely follow the standard stereotype for women. If the radio volume can no longer exceed the volume of the noise then its time to get it looked at. And the oil change sticker is a guideline. :D

Fortunately, our new Honda Fit is "woman friendly" in that it has a warning light to tell you to have the oil changed. Modern technology at its finest :p:D
