Help Dropbox usage and referral

I haven't seen a thread on this forum directly about Dropbox. If you aren't using it you should be, it's a great tool to share files across all platforms (pc, phones, etc). You get 2 gigs of storage space free, if you use the referral below you will get a 250mb upgrade for signing up.

After comparing the two, I still prefer Sugarsync. It gives you more flexibility, and I think your data is more secure.

I have tried both, and I think both are fine. I am not sure why you think that SugarSync is more secure - their user policies are similar to DropBox's. If you want security, then SpiderOak is probably the best choice (though I understand that the Android app is not all that good.)

I have decided on Dropbox (I pay for 50 GB of storage), but mostly because the Mac app uses less system resources than the SugarSync app (the last that I checked), and because there are far more third-party apps that support using Dropbox for syncing than support SugarSync. That said, it's a minor tipping point for me - both apps are very good.
