We’re committed to meeting our customers’ changing needs and offering a full spectrum of handsets that fit every budget and lifestyle,” commented, Tom Keys, president and COO of MetroPCS.

This handset boasts of a front facing camera for self portraits as well as seamless video conferencing. There is also a 5MP rear facing snapper with autofocus and LED flash which lets users take videos in 720p HD. Furthermore, the embedded Dolby Mobile feature enables audiophiles to groove to all their stored music complete in high quality sound.

The MetroPCS LG Connect 4G is scheduled to be available via the company’s stores as well as online at metropcs.com, next month. Its exact release date and price details are not yet known.

Was at a metro corp store today trying to decide whether or not to wait or get an esteem. Anyways the rep at the store told me the connect is going to be cheaper than the esteem. He did not know exactly how much but he was positive it was going to be cheaper and said if I were him to wait for it instead of buying an esteem and being disappointed when it comes out.

So does that mean the LG Esteem price will drop? or will both Connect and Esteem be at the same price range?

Go to wirefly.com they have the Esteem going for $268 and the Attain for $248. I'm still scratching my head thinking as to why the price dropped a lot for the Esteem. I know it hasn't been out that long... but I wish the price would drop for the Attain too if they're coming out with Connect soon. The only thing I don't like about the connect is that the dedicated home keys don't light up :(

price-of-phone: Price Of LG Connect 4G MS840, Specifications And Review

According to this link the price of the Connect will be $375. Which makes sense when taking into consideration the fact that it's dual core and has a NOVA screen. I don't know however how reliable the links information is. As to the release information I haven't found anything aside from what they mention in the CE2012 video staying that its expected release is in February.

Ouch, $375 is a bit out of my price range :( I like the phone because of the 5MP camera on it but the front facing camera is only VGA so yeah.. I could save up another $100 for the phone because I'm using my tax refund $$ to buy a new phone but I might just get the Attain, not a big fan of big phones like the Esteem, although it is nice, it's just not me! I have small hands so yeah LOL

My local metro store said the connect will be on there shelfs no longer than 2 weeks from today.
$300 is the top price.

I cant wait.

Hi Misleadb4. I hope you're right...but for what it's worth...I noticed today that there was a fair amount of talk on MetroPCS's Facebook Page about the LG Connect release being "delayed" due to "software issues" until possibly "late March or April". Apparently, a number of people were under the impression that LG Connect was going to be released today.

There is no word official from MetroPCS to substantiate any of these reports but as the saying goes..."where there is smoke, there is fire". In all likihood, it might be a while before the LG Connect 4G is released (6 to 8 weeks). God I hope I'm wrong

I jus left my friend's store and he said it should be within 2 weeks or so. He gave me the users guide for the connect and said he received a few things that he usually gets just a week or 2 before getting the phone.

Hi all, first post here. I have some exciting news! I was in my local MetroPCS store in Modesto, California today. Inside they had a bunch of Connect 4G promo put up so I asked the saleslady what the release date was. She told me that I that could purchase it right away. It lists at $400 but she told me that the was an instant rebate of $50. Then she told me that it would be $409 dollars out the door with tax, etc. Hope this was informative, looking forward to yall's replies. :)

I'm not sure if the phone is available in all areas or even if its supposed to be available in my area. All I know is that you can purchase it in my town if you have the cash. I don't, I'll be purchasing a Esteem. I'm no troll though. I'll be getting the Esteem tomorrow now that I know what the price of the Connect 4G is. I'll ask to see the phone tomorrow and I'll try to get a pic of it with my old phone. We'll see what happens, till then.

Oh man I've been waiting for this like an addict missing his stash!
Hi OP I've been keeping up with this phone since if was first rumored I've done a lot of research, and called a few friends that work with metropcs in Miami, what source did you get this release date from. I've clicked every single search engine link and haven't found any solid word on release date for the Connect or the Viper(same phone check out the battery cover!) ...

The Front facing camera is 0.3/VGA for sure it's been confirmed since I think before CES 2012. In addition thank you for this great update, hope to hear more soon.
