3D Cad Files for Nexus?

I wouldn't be completely surprised since lots of places have 3d imaging machines where you just put something in there it scans it and creates 3D files of it, but yes I am looking for the phone itself. All these companies that design belt clips and accessories for the phone have these files garunteed or they would not be able to design them....I figured maybe someone leaked them out onto the web they probably just got them from Samsung.

I would guess they got the from Samsung and that included a do not distribute clause.

Because there is probably very little demand for them no one has bothered to take the trouble of uploading them.

Shouldn't take to long if you can get hold of a micrometer.

You could try contacting some of the larger case companies, its worth a punt.

I had to model an old Nokia 5300 as part of a cad course I did. It would be quite had to get all the right radius of the curves.

There are loads of cad forums that have thousands of free cad files, you might get lucky.

yea I don't want to take the time to get all the curvature right and I don't have the right tools, I have been searching some of the CAD forums with no luck but if I do find any I will be sure to share for those who may want them.

Try grabcad.com. I know they have Sldprt files of the gsm nexus.

. Sldprt files are easily converted to iges or step. It looks like the grabcad model was created from measurements probably using a pair of calipers. Not measured using a, more accurate, CMM.

... Just checked. They have step and iges. And I forgot to mention that the models are free.

Thanks guys I was real busy at work tonight I'll have to check these out this weekend!

Do you think you could post or send me your belt clip part file for the sch-i515. I am a Freshman Engineering student at OSU and i am just learning how to use Autodesk Inventor. I have never done anything this complex. I am wanting to create a standard case for my phone that has personal tweeks and designs. I plan on sharing my case design on this thread in return. I just need a guideline to compare with my own attempts. It would be greatly appreciated your support. Thanks.
