Hi I am new to the group. Just bought the Samsung Moment today and I am so lost. i would like to know a few things.

1. When I transfer my music onto the phone how can I use them as my ringtones?

2. Is this even able to be done?

3. When transfering them, how do I find them?

Please help....hints the name!!!LOL

Thank you

1. Get a program called ringdroid from the market; it will let you create ringtones out of mp3s.

2. yep. look at 1.

3. Look in the SD card?

yep, just put you ringtones in a folder labeled media on your sd card. in that folder there will be (or you have to make) a sub-folder labled "ringtones" & another one labled "notifications". you can drop a sound or song into your notifications folder if you want a custom ring for text messages. do the same for ringtones. hope that helps...

also download zedge or mabilo (or both) for free ringtones & sounds that you can download & use directly on your phone, just in case you don't want to do it the other way

From stock phone:

Copy your MP3s to your SD Card. doesn't matter where, the stock MP3 player will find them.

Go into the stock media player.

Songs

Hold down your finger on the song you want as a ringtone

Select "Use song as ringtone"

easy.

Ringdroid is great for chopping your music into smaller sections so you can pull specific parts of songs out for ringtones.
