Looks like the update is real. I just received it!

Just got the update and so did my wife. We're installing it now. I noticed at the top of the phone there was a small red and blue arrows icon (Device Management) before the message came up informing me of the update. Anyway, like I said, I'm installing it now. There is hope, hang in there guys!

edit: it is the bug fix update. sorry I didn't make that clear since I thought that was the only update expected at the moment.

i just got off the phone with the only tmobile rep who knew what i was talking about and he told me there being sent out in batches 3 times a day and the need your correct imei and they checked mine and they had the wrong one so i recommend everyone get there imei number checked

Good question thug. I would say that we both weren't. She never has wifi turned on for her phone. I, on the other hand usually do, BUT I turned it off to check My Account (which cannot be accessed with wifi) and if memory serves me right, thats when I think I first noticed the red/blue arrows icon and then shortly thereafter, the message informing me of the update.

what really sucks is that you didn't save the update before installing it so that the rest of us could have it, but oh well you didn't know!

apparently there should be a zip file on your sdcard.. i believe is what people were saying

I've checked already. No zip files. I think someone mentioned it gets written to the recovery partition. I'll see if its mounted somewhere.

Not yet. I don't mind holding off for a day or so if a way to get it off can be found.

cd cache/recovery
ls
I think ....
You should see the update there ...
Or maybe adb pull /cache/recovery

I'll check it using ADB tomorrow, but checking the directory with su shows it as empty. No hidden files either.

Those who have received the update could you see what version of software you have?

"The version of the software that is most current is version 6 (the phone shipped with version 3).

To ascertain version: Go to Dialer/Hit Star/#9999#

You will see the PDA; Phone; and Software Version numbers in this section
The T939xxxx6 for PDA AND PHONE and then
Software Version - ending in .006 on the last line.
