Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

You should post it!

You can blame this on the request from jmartino :p

Next time you think you're having a bad day read this......

1. The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later they were both eaten by a killer whale.

2. A psychology student in New York rented out her spare room to a carpenter in order to nag him constantly and study his reactions. After weeks of needling, he snapped and beat her repeatedly with an axe.

3. In 1992, Frank Perkins of Los Angeles made an attempt on the world flagpole sitting record. Suffering from the flu he came down eight hours short of the 400 day record, his sponsor had gone bust, his girlfriend had left him and his phone and electricity had been cut off.

4. A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen, shaking frantically with what looked like a wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current she whacked him with a handy plank of wood by the back door, breaking his arm in two places. Till that moment he had been happily listening to his iPod.

5. Two animal rights protesters were protesting at the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn. Suddenly the pigs, all two thousand of them, escaped through a broken fence and stampeded, trampling the two hapless protesters to death.

And the capper.......

6. A known terrorist didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with "return to sender"stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits.

Wow. What a great thread to wake up to this morning. Thanks for the laughs.

On the subject of children. For me having children was like going from black and white TV to HDTV. True, there are the downsides, but life is far more fulfilling with them in it.

My youngest child got his drivers permit this week and I've been having a blast teaching him to drive!

Don't you just love that imaginary brake petal on the passenger side of the car:D. When my older step son got his permit, I felt like he was going to take out every single mailbox with the car mirror.

Oh are we telling jokes? Well, I do know a little ditty about a guy from Nantucket...

...What's that? Children? Well who let them in?... Anyone can come in, you say? Ah, well then, never mind... >_> <_<

I was on a day trip to Nantucket last fall. One of the shops there was selling a shirt that said "I'm that guy from Nantucket." I had to explain what it meant to my mother in law because she couldn't understand why I was laughing at it.:p

Just got a virus warning from:

Downloads\SuperOneClickv2.1.1-ShortFuse\Exploits\GingerBreak
[DETECTION] Contains recognition pattern of the EXP/Android.AR exploit
[WARNING]

Um... thanks for telling me Avira!? That program has been on my PC for over 6 months

The zip file even got a hit.

The funny part is how it just told me about the exploit instead of doing so when I downloaded the file MONTHS ago and running it. Twice.

It is considered that because it opens your file system to be accessed by you and other apps (root apps mainly). But if one downloads a malicious app that somehow hides its permission request to root files, then the exploit (in this case gingerbreak, which opened the file system) is considered responsible for this activity. I read an article about this a while back and I, too,

since we're sharing pics, here's the first panoramic one from my GNex. i wish the middle hadn't turned out so dark, but it's cool none the less.

Clemson baseball, opening day 2012:

Great pic!! I LOVE college baseball! I had to re-up my subscription to my team's streaming service so I could watch this weekend. I remember a few years back when Clemson came to town for a Super Regional. Great series and yall had some great fans make the trek!

Real life sick. I know a couple people were down for the count. My turn now except I didn't want it
Holy Crap!! So that's why I was so sick all weekend?? I caught a virus from AF!! And here I thought all this time it was food poisoning!

In all seriousness...I started night shift tonight and the plan all weekend was to stay up till 1-2AM Saturday morning, stretch that to 4-5AM this morning (Sunday morning), sleep all day and wake up late afternoon and then come in to work tonight.

Lucky for me I caught a virus or got food poisoning (I think the latter) and stayed up all Friday night and into Saturday morning. Was up all day Saturday miserable as well, then around midnight last night fell asleep and screwed up my plans to rotate on to the night shift...so now I am having to force myself to stay awake all night here and hopefully be able to crash when I get home. I just ate 5 chicken nuggets, which is more food than I've had the entire weekend combined.

Hope you feel better BB!

A little over 3 more hours to go....Really starting to drag now.

Yeah, I've had all crazy work hours. Working at a bakery in CA, they kept shifting our production schedules. First was 3am-12pm/11pm-9am (depending on your position), then 9pm-6am (that's when people threatened to quit, it's horrible coming home while the sun is coming up), then finally 3pm-1am. That actually wasn't so bad.
I'm really a morning guy (says the one posting at 5am ) so I loved classic bakers' hours - 2am-11am. Make's you not seem so weird for waiting for the bar to open at 11am ;).

Those are some strange hours, but not so bad. I think I could get up and come in to work at 2AM if I knew I'd be done by lunch.

My typical hours are 7AM to 3:30PM. Then a couple of times per year (usually) every group has to split up for round the clock coverage to support critical activities. First time I've been put on back shift, but this one worse. Since my group has minimal involvement, they only need one of us here at night, so I'm the only person here from my group from 7PM to 7AM for the next 14 days.

Yikes, that sucks. At least it looks like you got some AF time in ;):)
