Help please help me

All of a sudden late last night my amdroid g1is making me do that trace a pattern again to get passed the locked screen.
I hate that pattern & all those stupid steps which is why i disabled it months ago.
i already went back into settings option and found it now is checked BUT it is greyed out as if it is not an option.
No root, reg cupcake build. no home alternative apps either.
Can anyone help?????

Thanks for any help.

Go into Settings Security and select "change unlock pattern" enter you pattern so you are permitted to change .. then continue with pattern using your stored pattern until the option check box is available again .. then uncheck it ... and reconfirm once more with your stored pattern ...
