Help Looking to flash EVO4G to BOOST

Hi All,
I am looking to flash an EVO 4G to Boost. I have some ?? hoping you guys can answer

1. If I want to change the number at a later time is it necessary to have the original doner phone? Would it be advisable to keep that phone for future purposes?
2. Some one told me that there are problems with apps working after flashing. Can I please get some comments on this? I don't want to do this and then find out that the apps don't work. We use a lot of apps for business purposes.
3. Will a phone with a bad ESN work for flashing? What should I be careful of there?
4. What other gotchas! do I need to look out for?

1 if ur gonna change ur number u need the donor phone or at least the donor phones info, to reflash new number
2 u cannot use any sprint aps
3 any evo will do good or bad esn
4 the guides online suck..do as much research as u can or just pay someone to do it

I'm not really that experienced with the process, but there are a few members who frequent that thread who are. If you get stuck post up a question in that thread, and I'm sure it'll get answered pretty quick.
