I prepare to take on an unknown foe.
I check my clothes. Everything looks in order there.
I check to see that I have my pistol and ammo in case I run out of spells. Looks good.

I rub the lucky coin in my pocket and prepare for whatever is coming at us.

My forcefield spell, how long would it last? A certain number of rounds, or would it just last through a certain amount of damage? Also if I wanted to use Force Grip on someone to hold them in place (basically crowd control them) how long would that last/charge? Would the grip need to roll against the full armor class or does the fact that it doesn't need to penetrate armor and is invisible help it out?
Also, What school would transmutation stuff be in? Like turning someone into a newt for a few rounds (or permanantly)?

I have no clue...I feel like a third wheel in this game.

Just read along as to what is happening, all the important stuff isn't in hide tags, so it shouldn't be too hard to follow. Just say what you think your character should do. Its fun to Role Play and develop the character outside of combat as well. It takes a bit of getting used to if you have never done it. And you can ask any questions you want! :) We will help you out. With your skills I would be punching/kicking/all out brawling against enemies. And outside of combat just think of an idea of who your character is and try to imagine what they would do in the given scenarios.

You have been doing well, it takes some time to get used to roleplaying and this style of game ;)

The force field size/duration will depend on charges used. 1 charge would be a protective barrier around 1 person for 2 round or a protective barrier large enough for 2 people for 1 round. Additional charges can add to to the size or duration.

Force Grip would be 1 person 2 round and require a successful attack negating armor. Additional charges would increase duration only, the target would be able to try to break it with a roll+their strength difficulty would be your intelligence + the # of charges used.

Controlling someone would be something else entirely and be a lot like the divine fear spell where you could offer suggestions without using a ton of charges. Unless you are wanting a puppet type spell where you are forcing their body to move with the same type force of force grip then it would again take more charges.

Not sure about trasnmutation stuff at the moment :eek:

Hearing the siren from the sonar going of, I climb the stairs to the main deck. Removing my six shooter from the holster, I check it one more time making sure the weapon is loaded. I also load my rifle. "Well, here we go again," I say while surveying the area around the ship.

Remembering the sonar was showing the object below us, I begin thinking of ways to make the foe emerge from the sea. "We've gotta make sure they don't damage the hull. We'd be in serious trouble if the boat got damaged..."
sorry, I check on my phone, but posting without a real keyboard make me far more prone to errors ;)

I am handling this like combat guys which is why I haven't started with the "battle" I need to know where you are and what you are doing

Correct me if I am wrong in the following post

Cain is checking the sea around the ship waiting gun ready
Zach is standing around relaxed (?)
Smith is has is gun ready (and is waiting?)
T'res is in the control deck doing who know's what (?)
HTC is doing something somewhere on the ship (?)
