Not all people would do grunts and groans.
Some people arnt tech savvy.
But would benefit from a less sophisticated interface.

Like not being able to manually update my prl.
And somehow this version of chicken tits gives low signal and looses signal in a flash.
(I love near four towers always full bars now I get a 1x signal.)

kouma kernel does it for you.

just have to odin Clock work mod to your phone
and partition the memory card
(makes part of your memory card part of your phone.
you can choose between 1 gb 2gb or 4gb of internal storage. i believe. xD

Yeah a2sd will work, koumakernel 1.2 seems to be the best one so far. Just follow the instructions in the darktremor readme to partition your sd card. Super easy!

i was transfering the old bluetooth files.
but it still didnt work for me..
(copied and pasted the bluetooth files from ctmod 2.4-2.5 with no luck)

is there any way that you could make the bluetooth forget old pairings like clearing a bluetooth cache or something?

i wanna clear the old pair code for my pc (main reason it does not connect to my phone)

Not being able to update the PRL is because CTMod 3.x.x was built from the "Admire port to Prevail 2.3.6." If you Odin to the latest stock image you can update the device normally. (If I recall this is what I was told and how I understand it.)

This one is because boost changed the way the signal is interpreted with the FA19 update. You'd have the same signal issues on the stock FA19 update. (Trust me I checked) If you go into the Setting>>About Phone>>Status and look at the signal strength it shows roughly the same dBm as Ej06. Just it shows different on the actual bars. Kouma explained it better in a past post.

Also, the Bluetooth fails me now. XP

Blood had previously said to me that some bluetooth devices just don't quite like CTMod and there isn't a whole lot to do til he figures it out apparently. (Which in 3.2 he said he might have)

i recently updated from the old CTmod 2.4, but
after updating all my friends prevails to 3.1.2...

they dont get calls, just goes straight to VM.
all the time, who ever it is...

i would like to confirm the proper installation method.
install the CTmod 312
goback
install the fa19 update
reboot...it will reboot back into CWM
so i reboot again..
then the screen loads.


As far as you know everything works,except the BlueTooth, which i saw your updating...

i used Titanium Backup to RESTORE, my sync settings, gmail,and user apps + the system files that are in GREEN..anything RED i leave alone b/c their version is mismatch.


So, is there a Small chance that flashing the new mod MIGHT stop incoming calls, and that re-flashing it will solve it..

or you think 100% its restoring through programs like titanium backup (pro) that causes the issue.

...thanks for your work, everything else works great...was hoping to get that hidden menu working right, maybe i skipped a step, ill see if theres a tut somewhere.


for google talk authentication error;
just clear CACHE for market and Google services framework
then STOP them..reboot

but i just stop all services..reboot..works just as great.

the update won't work unless your on the stock rom. if you try to accept it with CTMod installed it will fail.

If you want the update the easiest way is to just use odin to get it then reflash the rom

There's a fa19 fix for that look at the last 5pgs.

I loaded up cm7
And I think its got too much..
Two things I did like about it
Instead of signal bars its got the DB in text.
Anyway we could implement that on your new 3.2? Or have the option to do so?

The decongestant one is the adding tint to the display.
Supposebly it saves battery.
But i like it because I can make everything Green.

PS.
I miss chicken Tits.XP
I like that it was nice and simple..
And extremely fast.

Cm7 can control the cpu by letting g it get more juice or save more power by taking it away.
That's be an interesting integration with chicken tits.
Back to metroid: other m for me.

ok i flashed in cwm the fa19 gingerbread rooted image onto my phone last night and it worked im up to fa 19 and i reinstalled ct3.1.2 but it's still asking me to do an update to fa19 is there a way to turn that off or should i flash to

I thought that I read here that there was a FA19 fix that was released because there were some issues with the original update, so that could be what you are seeing. I could be wrong so someone else may be able to chime in if that's the case.

First off, thanks BloodDawn for the great work on CT. Makes the Prevail into a snappy, functional device.

I had CTMod 2.1 and started getting the FA19 baseband nag last week so:

1. Updated with Odin to CWM with FA19
2. Installed CTMod 3.1.2
3. Still getting the FA19 nag so installed the FA19fix.zip in this thread.

Everything is great except my compass is turned around 180 degrees
Not such a big deal except I love Google Sky Map for identifying the stars in the night sky. Wouldn't be so bad if I had eyes in the back of my head


Any suggestions?

I cannot find where to select mass storage or charging on 3.1.2, is this a bug or am i a re-re? No big deal either way its not like i use this option that much anyways. Thanks for the work, great rom, love it..

Hi Bloodawn I updated to 3.1.2 everything works fine except my ex-girlfriend keeps slashing the tires on my car. I hope the 3.2 update getting released later on will resolve this. Thanks for the continued support.

Blood, I tried reinstalling CTmod 3.1.2 but it caused me to crash my brand new motorcycle. Now I'm sore all over, and my brand new bike has scratches all down the right side. Anything you can do to help solve this would be appreciated

^^ Speaking of bikes. Walk outside and find my rear tire is flat due to a nail in it. Awesome stuff. Maybe 3.2 will fix that problem also!!

Other random changes

Known Bugs:
Mobile AP is still broke
In call screen lock is still weird
