Had my first reboot today I was trying to send a text to my sister and the screen went black and rebooted. I guess her returned nexus had a cold or something and gave it to my phone.

Btw...any good tips for the graphically-challenged on how to learn PS essentials in a day? I was given a project at work, and given access to Photoshop essentials 7(talk about out of date...) but I am completely graphically inept. And have no idea on where to start...and I have till Friday. Thanks..I think...for any suggestions!!!

Thanks. Semi sick as in no fever but swearing she feels like she is going to get sick.
You tube tutorials are sometimes helpful. I just kind of started playing with all the tools and seeing what they did.

Morning everyone! Hope everyone stayed safe and unharmed in all the storms over the weekend. Dodged a couple of tornados while on the road Friday evening. Made for an interesting trip to say the least!

I have realized this weekend how HORRIBLE reception is on the Nexus. My wife's Rezound picks up 4G in areas where I'm not even getting good 3G signal and gets full signal in areas where I only get 2 bars. Battery life is about the same on both phones.

Good morning all! Today is my first day as a two-week employee of the new bank. A lot of people had their last day as Friday the 2nd, so it's awful quiet today. Two weeks easy cruising of cleanup, decommission, tie up loose ends, etc., then I get a week off, then my new job starts Monday the 26th. I'm very excited about the next three weeks! It's amazing how much better one sleeps once one knows they have secured employment!

Good morning all - happy Monday! Starting off the week with some egg whites and cheese on a roll.

Starting day 1 of P90X2 tonight. Did the first one about 6-7 months ago and have really been slacking so gotta get started with working out again. I love the P90X series so hopefully this one is just as good.

Hope you all had awesome weekends. BTW downloaded Instagram on my iPod Touch this weekend and I am addicted. I need it on my phone - hurry up with the Android version!

I had a pretty good weekend, even though it rained a lot (we got almost 6" at my house in 24 hours). Thankfully no severe weather for us.

It was an anti-capitalist movie weekend for me, took the kids to see the Lorax, and then rented In Time from Redbox last night. Its pretty bad that comparing a children's movie to a movie where the main premise is the rich are immortal and the poor die young, and it was the children's movie which had the stronger anti-capitalist/anti-business message. I rolled my eyes when I read a few reviews about the message in the movie, thinking, its for kids, it can't be that bad. Well, I was wrong. The song "How bad can I be?" was so over the top, it was ridiculous.

Happy Monday all. BB, sorry to hear about your daughter. My 13yr old gets that sometimes, but for me it is often related to homework. Someday I'll figure out the connection.

Lucky, congrats again and enjoy the ride. I'm in local gov't now for the sole reason of job security. I saw the market going south and at least here, if I do my job, I have a job. It can't be downsized or outsourced.

svt, I'd take Moto radios anyday but I'm still not giving up the freedom that Nexus brings.

I had a quiet weekend for the most part. I finally played with my new Harmony remote beyond initial setup. I'll give a review later.

BTW, I just heard someone ringtone and it made me laugh. It was the theme song for night rider. That would be cool if it could be integrated with the answer screen with the red dot going back and forth.

I heard on the Rick and Bubba radio show (not sure if anyone here listenes to them) this morning that Rick was going to give his thoughts on the Lorax movie and he sounded kind of exasperated. Never got to hear the review, just a breif mention saying he went to see it and would talk about it later. Really sad that they've resorted to pushing political ideas in kids movies. I thought there was some really over the top stuff in Happy Feet, even though just taking the movie at face value for cute dancing penguins I thought it was great, I couldn't get over the other stuff in it.

I hated the radio in my Droid. Would report 5 bars but when it came time to answer a call or make a call it would instantly drop to 1 or sometimes 0 bars and I couldn't make the call or would only be able to hold it for a minute (literally). Wife's Rezound actually report a true signal that is better than any other smart phone I've ever had. I still love the screen and dev support of the Nexus, but man...makes you wish Samsung had put some thought in the antenna design. Wonder if you could do an antenna mod that would utilize the back like the Rezound? Hmm...
