Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Cool, I want though the same thing on this, that is why I asked.
The ones that were advertised for CDMA would not work, they were for GSM.

So now it is safe to purchase this for CDMA.... Thanks...:)

Originally, they only had one and did not specify that it would not work with the cdma phones. Now they have both and as long as you make sure you get the correct one, you will be great.

And then people wonder why we have a bunch of whiny cry babies that can't wipe themselves without encouragement. /rant

Yep. That's what I hear from every member of the family. It doesn't matter what you do for encouragement, the students simply will not try. You can get them to try once or twice with the same incentive, but after that, it's like they expect more so they quit trying until you come up with something new and late in the year nothing works. There are few, if any, self-motivated students that try and get good grades.

Thanks all very much!

It's very exciting...it's such a miraculous event, first time parent here. I have 2 younger sisters and they have 4 little girls so my folks welcome the addition of a grandson.

Due date is July 26th. Wife really wanted a boy, I could go either way I just want my baby to be healthy. Yesterday at the doc office he finally flipped over in my wifes tummy to show gender. My wife asked the doctor 3 times are you sure it's a boy lol. He said "yes!" the first 2 times, then the third time said "if it's a girl then she has a penis" (medical/anatomy talk okay) and I lost it :p

One last thing on this education rant and I'll shut my mouth, but it's a scary thought.

What is going to happen when this generation graduates and are the ones running this country and its businesses??

It does not matter anymore. This country is digging a hole to no where and it is getting deeper.

I think my native american family and friends were to kind 200 + years ago.

Sorry for the rant reply.....

Same could be said for the current Columbia University "graduate" I don't remember the last GOOD president we had, because there hasn't been one in my lifetime.

edit: Just to clarify. Not an Obama basher or Bush basher. Neither am I a democrat or Republican. I simply just am not satisfied with any of the Presidents dating back to the first Bush, which is as far as I can remember. I'm not satisfied with any of the candidates that appear to be in the lead for their party nominations this year either (obviously Obama for the Dems and Santorum or Romney for the Repubs).

"New gestures, new effects, multi-touch editing, and you can beam photos directly between devices."

Wait...beam? Lawsuit! Go get 'em Android legal team!

I said the same thing.

OH and someone on Engadget mentioned Bezel gestures -- sounds like the Playbook to me.

But the retina thing threw me off, they said you need 300+ ppi for retina and now 264 is "good enough" - oh c'mon.

Cue the "Price is Right" loser music. No "textured" touch screen technology. Nothing groundbreaking with this device at all. Not even a quad core device. No word on memory specs because they probably didn't bump it from the 512MB (I think) that was in the iPad 2. So let's break down what you get in the "Revolutionary, NEW iPad"

-4G LTE Tech that has been out nearly a year in some Android phones
-A camera that has been out for several months in the iPhone 5, wait, 4S
-FINALLY the ability to record 1080P
-A faux quad core processor
-And last but not least, a bump in your screen resolution to "good enough" "retina"
quality

Yeah, not amazing by any standards. Apple was able to get out ahead of the market, but not by rapid tech evolution, rather it was just because no one else thought there WAS a market. Both for the touch screen smartphone, and the tablet, they spent a LONG time (relatively, in the tech world) to make those products right. But Android allows manufacturers to pick up the concept, and run with it, and not too long later have surpassed Apple on the technical side.

Apple is doing something right.

Marketing marketing marketing. They make you believe that not only do you want the device, you NEED the device. It's amazing. The only reason they publish any specs is because Android devices started to. They're very vague about a lot of the specs they do release because Android devices have them beat. When I started paying attention to technical specifications, that's when I stopped buying into the crap Apple was selling. They're good at what they do. They could sell cow manure to a dairy farmer.
