Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

For those having issues with Google Wallet, your version numbers seem to be up to date. That is the version number I updated to the other day, but not without a couple tries. I kept having to clear data, log in, wait for the prompt to update. When I would go into Market, (I did this before it changed to Play; hopefully this process isn't invalid because of that change) and touch update ASAP, because if I didn't I would get kicked back to another screen, as if I had manually touched "back." Now, after talking to the folks at Google Wallet, I am informed that re-provisioning will be restored tomorrow 7p PST. I had wiped data recently to try a ROM and was doomed:(. It was one of my reasons for sticking with stock rooted 4.0.4 and then I forgot! Be unable to re-provision since. Hope I helped :p.

Interesting, yours still updates even after market became Google Play, can you check what version of wallet you have? I just used the apk Stigy provided above, and while it appears to work, Wallet does not show up in Google Play as one of my apps.

You could try using Titanium Backup to force it to link to Market/Play Store.

Thanks again for the link to that charging stand. Can't believe I am going to be able to charge two batteries at once!

While I can understand it may not be the right time for you personally, home prices and mortgage rates will never be more favorable for a buyer right now. In fact, once Europe gets it through its head that the Euro is dead in its current form, and makes the required changes, the US is next to see a similar situation. Treasury rates will start rising, along with it all other rates, including mortgages.

Yep, a friend of ours purchased a home in DC a couple years ago with a great rate (he also got a fantastic credit from the district for first time homebuyers). We're trying to save as much as possible (which is hard with my tech obsession ). Hopefully in a couple years we'll have enough for a down payment! :D

Thanks J, I am almost leary to link it, i just checked and the version of wallet backed up by Titanium last night is the same as the one I just reloaded using the apk provided above. Seems I reloaded the same version I was using that would not allow me to update via Play. Ok, thinking out loud now, guess i could link it and then if i have the same problem un-link it or reload apk again. I will give it a try and report back.

Hey BB...and good morning all!

Have you tried moving all files in DCIM to your computer, clearing data on gallery app, then pushing those files back to it folder? I remember this once happened to me back in the day with my Android 2.1 LG Ally. Give it a shot. Also wipe cache and dalvik after doing so.

That's my next step. I hate having to do that. Oh well. Part of playing with Nyxie.

BB, did you have to wipe after last night? If so, perhaps there is a connection here. My Nexie went to Google Play last night as well, only effect on the phone was with Wallet that I can detect so far.

Yup. Full wipe and reinstall.

Same here - that is the latest version.

I got mine installed from the Market so it appears in mine. If you installed it from the APK linked above it still won't show in the market as its not compatible with your device and its not linked.

I tried my best to explain that above, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Right, people who used the backdoor market method are being updated without issue. The original side-loaded apk has been disabled by Google apparently, and so it prompts you to update. But you won't be able to update that way. Now if someone (read xda) can (probably already has) pull the latest version and create an apk, you can un-install and re-install that way, but until they fix the re-provisioning, you will lose access to your pre-paid card.

Interesting:

http://venturebeat.com/2012/03/08/a...aps-in-new-iphoto-but-forgets-to-give-credit/

Apple switches from Google Maps to OpenStreetMaps for new iPhoto update in iPad but doesn't give credit to the creators of OpenStreetMaps. Wonder how the Apple fans feel about paying a premium price for Apple products while Apple is finding cheap ways to get around having to pay for things like Google Maps API access. Also wonder how the creators of this open source map platform feels about Apple ripping something of theirs off and calling it their own. To add insult to injury, appears from the article that Apple is getting 2 year old data with these maps.

Any idea what the problem was? Or just used brute force to fix?

Brute Force! Lol.
I don't know why the pictures did their little trick. I did discover that the blogger pics and g+ crap show up if you keep your phone synced with your google account. I think one of the times I flashed I forgot to uncheck that. And I will now always turn off sync to enter my Gmail. Then will turn it on so I can disable google photos syncing.

I do now have the updated market though which is just not a pretty icon at all.

So saw this and wanted to share (Mainly because I love watching Apple get in trouble.

DOJ threatens Apple with antitrust suit over eBook price-fixing

Seems Apple and the publishers forgot their are laws against price fixing. It ought to be interesting, because this was a major part of the agreement with the publishers in order for them to agree to exclusivity with iOS books only. The publishers won't agree to lower prices if Apple insists on taking 30%.
