Hi!

A couple of days ago I got myself a Samsung Spica and I have a problem, gmail isn't working. :(
When I start the app it just says waiting for sync and that my email will be shown soon but it never does.

Anyone else with this problem? Does someone know how to fix it?

//Best regards Mist

Go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications and find Google Mail and Google Mail Storage.

Clean the data in both and go to Gmail again.

Who is your carrier? I just got a TMobile G1 and the guys at the store said they were having issues with their online services yesterday and today.
I've got Halebop(swedish), but i have no problem with my internet connection, it's just gmail.

I tried setting up my account in the email app and that worked, but I want to use the gmail app. :-(
It says waiting for sync, can you sync manually?

This might be a silly question but do you actually have a Gmail Account? If not you need to set one up then set it up on the phone.....munu>settings>data synchronization>google then you should be prompted with the set up dialogue. Enter your new account details. Hope this helps.

Heh, of course I do. I even posted that I got into the account using the email app. ;)
Thanks anyway.

EDIT: I went into settings and synced gmail and now it's working. I didn't know how to sync before. :$
