Root How to put titanium backup files from computer back on to your phone?

Hi! Sorry this is long, but PLEASE HELP ME!!! I backed up my phone to titanium backup last night before i unrooted it so i could install the latest system update 4.5.621 on my DroidX. I had to end up flashing back to stock rom to get rid of the root and then i downloaded the update. When i went to root it again after the update i couldnt because no one has figured out how to root with this update(wish i had known this before i updated). So now im stuck with a reset phone with no way of getting back my info. I still have the titanium backup file on my sd card and i copied it to my computer, but i have no idea of how to restore my backup without superuser permissions. Is there a way to use my windows computer to transfer the files and restore everything back to its place by some kind of drag and drop back to the files? Because my computer says that it "cant find the program that created the file". Or am i screwed because i need titanium backup to be able to read the files?

Also, I backed up my SD card last month to my computer the old fashioned way(by plugging it in and copying everything over). If i start dragging and dropping these files back to my sd, will it recognize the apps?

i have same problem..... give suggestions...

Only suggestion Ive thought of is if you know someone else who has a DX with root priveleges. Back up their stuff on tibu, take out their memory card, factory reset it, put your sd in, download tibu and restore your stuff to their phone then copy all the files to your computer and then put their stuff back on their phone. And then just copy the files back off your computer to your phone. Dont know if this will work, i havent tried it yet but it sounds like it should. I have a friend with a rooted DX whos willing to give it a try so hopefully it should. Otherwise im screwed lol

Ok, so i tried this out everyone and it worked!
BUT! Only to a certain degree. I was able to get the most important stuff back though, like my messages and call log and browser bookmarks. I suggest that after you factory reset and load your memory into the other dx, you download some kind of sms backup, bookmark backup, call log backup, and any backup you need along with downloading tibu. After you restore it, back it up and sync it to your sd or email. If you use go launcher, make sure you run a backup because it will save your homescreens too.
I dont think this will work with apps like games and stuff, but you can give it a try if you go to tibu and restore it and then save it to your sd.
Its better than nothing!!

This is why I remained at rooted Android 2.2.1 on my X. None of the versions after that offered enough to warrant me potentially running into your problem. Sorry for your troubles, though.... wish I had a solution for you.

Im glad some people realized that this might happen BEFORE they updated. I didnt realize it until i tried to root it again and it didnt work. :(. Glad you still have root
