Biggest changes include a new 2.1 launcher (not 3D) that only has 3 screens, but is LWP interactive. Also, the 'Nexus' LWP is now the 'Neural Network', and is customized for Droid:

I'd say it's as stable as ERE25. The ESE53 build has live wall papers, whereas the ROM builders just incorporated it into ERE25, and I think it's a bit more optimized in ERE53. I still have plenty of free RAM while running the Droid Nexus LWP, when it would bog down a bit in previous ROMs.

The downside is that the new launcher is still only 3 screens. Can't wait until someone extends it to 5. But we finally have native interactive live wallpapers.

Benchmarks are about the same as before ~11.6Mflops at 1.2GHz w/ JIT.

SetCPU benches consistently around 130-140ms, though I did see 111ms once :D

If we have a previous version of his ERE25 ROM, we should be able to just do an update and are not required to do a full nandroid restore on this correct?

Yeah, I just used the update.zip over his ERE25 ROM. Be patient, the initial boot up took me about 3-4 mins.

Man, the ESE53s are breaking out all over! :D

I'm going to wait until they include a native 5-screen home in these ESE53 ROMs...I'm running Chevy's Simply Stupendous ERE25 beta now, and it's the first ROM in a long time that I've liked better than whatever was Pete's most current release - I'm surprised, but I like Chevy's ERE25 SS better than Pete's ERE25 BB v.04.

Hopefully Pete will have an update on this soon so I can give it a whirl.

ultimate droid 6.0 ESE build has 5 screens, just flashed it and its pretty sweet so far

Yeah, but then you lose interactivity with the live wallpapers. It's a 50/50 call IMO. It won't be long before someone modifies the new launcher to 5 screens and maintains live wallpaper interactivity though.

How do I enable JIT?. Can't search for TLA's.

thanks

Check this thread:

JIT for Droid

I think the files are on page 7, instructions on page 8.

Ultimate is running great atwith Chevy's 1.25 but it is running hotter than Pete's at the same speeds (Pete's was running between 77-93F while Ultimate runs between 95 up to about 120F when I really stress it. It seems to settle around 105F. I love the 5 screens and going to stick with Ultimate (at least for the next hour or so). I must have flashed 5 different ROMS today  I have lost count.
