Yeah me too I'm heavy into the EVO brand I got the origin 4g EVO loved it then the EVO 3d no other phone has suited my liking or needs so EVO it is!!! And when they come out with whatever EVO is next il be sure to upgrade asap!! Just sucks cause the 3vo isn't LTE and still no ICS and I'm locked in now until 2013 before upgrade eligible :( :( :( cause i got my 1year upgrade after fighting for it when Sprint changed it months ago to get the 3d EVO... :( :( :( I just want ICS Damnit :( :( lol

I knew it..awhile back I posted news I had heard from a friend who works at Walmart and he was the manager of the store...well the Sprint rep always gave him demo phones to show off to people to try and persuade them to buy this "new model" phone...and well he's huge into ICS etc... Just like all of us and he originally got the EVO 3d as a demo phone that was fully connected to Sprint and working like normal not the stupid fake phones that retailers have...im talking a real Sprint EVO 3d not a fake won't turn on demo phone...so anyways he went to system updates..and he got the ICS 4.0 update on this phone which was a Sprint reps phone so Sprint reps and employees have had ICS on their personal phones for quite some time now! But when i originally posted that same thought everyone on here thought I WAS blowing smoke up my own a$$ and I WAS not I WAS being 100% serious and i wouldn't waste my time trying to fool someone and get there hopes up for nothing cause trust me iv wanted ICS since I heard about it when my original EVO 4g got gingerbread hence why on day 1 of the EVO 3d release I WAS there at 8am to pick up my brand new EVO 3d and iv had it since day 1 !! So hopefully ICS comes soon cause I'm sick of watching ICS go to all these other phones and not our 1 of a kind 3vo's!!! Screw the vivid like at&t is the absolute worst company and especially for pushing out updates for android like i couldn't believe they beat Verizon and Sprint for this update to a different phone other then the galaxy nexus on Verizon I WAS truthfully at a loss for words... !!!!! Ugh :( :( fml can we eat our ice cream yet.....

Went to the Sprint Store yesterday to upgrade one of my family members to an iphone. While I was there I asked a guy about ICS. Firstly, he showed me his 3D which had it already on it. I played with it for a tad. He said all signs point to the end of April.

Thats about it.

Any way of knowing if that was a rooted deal or for real??

I wouldn't doubt if it was a real update. A relevant story : when I worked at Staples I got a copy of Windows 7 a month before it was officially released. Even though ICS is a mobile OS, I would believe that representatives of the software would get it ahead of time. I'm sure ICS is ready for prime-time but Sprint are probably just combing over it for possible bugs. I would rather see no update than a terrible one.

We should steal acquire (through nefarious means, if need be) those Sprint employee's Evo 3Ds with ICS and extract the ROM from it and post it.

And by we, I mean one of you guys :p

With the announcement about htcsense.com could this mean we'll be getting ICS after April 30th?

Not necessarily. HTC recently announced that they conceded the point that Sense got cluttered. Article can be seen here: http://www.theverge.com/2012/3/2/2840336/htc-sense-ui-got-cluttered-redesign

The annoucement on htcsense.com could just be a part of the 'spring cleaning' and have no impact on ICS release dates. As the services related to htcsense.com are contacts, footprint data, and other various services, not the actual skin itself. It'd be a little late in the game for massive renovations now.

Yes, Spring cleaning indeed. Likely no relation to Ice Cream Sandwich releases, and more likely correlated to Sense 4.0 and the release of the One Series of handsets?

HTC has stated that they want to update and streamline their services plus reinvigorate and push the HTC Hub going forward (HTCSense.com's portal to our phone - you can't use the Hub Application on your phone without a HTCSense.com log in).

Since we are probably getting Sense 3.6 with our Ice Cream Sandwich, the HTCSense.com changes probably will not effect us much and will instead be optimized for Sense 4.0 only phones and the HTC One series?

HTC Blog | New APIs Released from HTCDev
"In addition, we have some great ways to get apps that are integrated with these new APIs featured on various HTC channels, such as HTC HUB. HTC HUB allows users to download relevant content that makes their device more useful and their lives more efficient, organized, and entertaining. Most importantly for you, HTC Hub allows you to get better market reach, better visibility, and more downloads."

Also check out HTCHub.com. Looks like a possible placeholder, with One X in the preview picture on the browser navigation bar?
(Not to be confused with HTC-Hub.com - French/EU News Site that centers around HTC community and rumors)

Maybe I'm just reading into things too far just like the next guy who knows...

But didn't the HTC Vivid get Sense 4.0 with their ICS update a few days ago?! Why would they not put Sense 4.0 into our phones update as well?
