Hey all,

Getting a MyTouch soon. Does anyone have recommendations for these accessories?

Car charger that I can charge and plug in a 3.5mm jack simultaneously?
(that actually works?)

"decent" screen protector? (How's the one that comes with the phone?)

Some type of phone body protection?

Any other ideas for "must have" accessories?

Thanks in advance for the help! I know there are a million choices out there.

I have tried the "Zagg" screen protectors when I had the g1 and the behold, its the best quality - but it's a little steep in price. I've bought cheaper ones just to save a buck and they bubble up and make the screen look gross. So if you care about aesthetics and quality, I would invest in the Zagg screen protectors. Phone body protection is quite generic, they are all pretty much the same quality everywhere - so your best bet would go to amazon.com and order it for cheapest.

HTC 3-in-1 jack enables you to use headphone and charge at the same time. There is also a much better headphone than the included one which puts the mic 3 feet from your mouth. The good one is called the RC E !00 and includes a remote for playing music, volume, mute, etc.

This is the best car accessory for the mytouch. I have one and it is perfect.

It can charge the handset when needed (usb port). Has Aux out for running into the stereo. And it has bluetooth so that you can listen to music and talk on the phone through the car stereo. At $30 shipped you cant beat the value.

For around $150, you can get a Sony head unit with BT. I have one and it works pefectly for both voice and music. The power cord for my Garmin GPS works just fine as a car charger. I can't get over how smooth and seemless the in-car experience is with this set up.

I'm using the fitted folio case from the T-Mo store, $24.99, it works nicely for my needs. Slips into a pocket with ease and protects the phone in the car.

You can basically use the charger and headphone accessories from any HTC phone with the myTouch.

I personally just ordered the Jabra SP700. I won't get it for a while but from the reviews everyone is loving it. It's a bluetooth, fm transmitter, speaker device. When I use it on the phone I'll get back with you. They cost around $30ish plus shipping.

I'm getting one too, and i've been shopping around for accessories. I'm pretty picky about my phone and keeping it clean so I want to get everything before i get the phone. 2 weeks before my contract ends with Sprint. Anyways, I found some accessories from this site: Think myTouch 3G. They seem to have a good collection.

I don't think there's a charger that has a 3.5mm but you can try this adapter:
T-Mobile myTouch 3G Mini-USB Charging Headset Adapter
It supports 2.5mm and 3.5mm, 11-pin and charges.
You can also try:
T-Mobile myTouch 3G 3-in-1 Mini USB to 3.5mm Adapter
Which basically does the same thing but costs more. I ordered the first one.

For screen protectors, i went with this one:
Skinomi TechSkin Invisible Screen Protector
Tried invisible shield on my Treo and couldn't stand the stylus sticking to the invisible shield. They claim to be smoother, I'm sold.

And i ordered the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Aluminum Case - Silver
I had one on my Treo and it worked great, a little bulky, but the MT3G is so slim anyways, i liked the protection, didn't use the clip.

I am wondering where to get a case for my 1.2 MyTouch beside the obvious, online at Tmobile . Can I just look at the Fender cases for now until there are more options. I guess I could poke a hole in a soft case or even drill a hole in a hard one but not really sure that I want to do that unless I have to. Any suggestion are welcome. THANKS!

30 bucks. Works perfectly.

With the screens i had tons left over from my blackberry. Either way i got them @tmobile and then you just cut to size.

I got the hard clear case on mt 3 g now. i love it, you can see your custom back/battery cover. got it from tmo store. down side it is $ 20.
