Will Droid keep up?

meh, I'll wait and see. Sony hasn't been on a roll lately. Also, I always remind everyone that the devices are only part of the equation for me; I love my Droid, but if it was on AT&T and the iPhone was on Big Red, I'd be an iPhone user. The carrier matters as much, if not more, to me than the phone-maker. I never even considered getting an N1 b/c it was on T-Mobile, when it comes to Verizon, I'll think about it. Competition should only benefit us as consumers, better tech with lower prices. Of course, someone needs to tell Apple's patent lawyers that...

O M G what am I gonna do? I guess I will have to sell my Droid ASAP and get a Nexus 1.....oh but wait the HTC Supersonic is coming out soon and that has a 4.3 screen and more RAM....I'll have to sell that Nexus once that comes. Uh oh, TI is releasing the OMAP4 series with A9 dual core processors......crap I guess that Supersonic will only last me a few more months.....I give up.

+1

I bought my Droid for what it was when purchased. It was the first real smartphone on Verizon (I lived with a Razr and an iPod touch until it arrived) and even with the pending N1 being released on Verizon, it is still one of the more quality phones out there. What Apple does (as long as they are with AT&T) doesn't even have the slightest concern of mine and neither does anything else that won't be out on Big Red's network. There are those of us who still believe a phone (smartphone or not) should have reliable voice calling. And its not on AT&T or Sprint from my experiences with them.

I completely agree. I used to have "iPhone Envy" every time I played with a friend/relatives. Then I would remember when I try to call friend/relative, the call almost always drops (and I live in Socal...should be fine here right?)...

As for Sony, I wouldn't want a "PSP Phone". Just like iPhone, and Windows Mobile 7 Series or whatever the hell it's called, it will be locked down, and I would no longer have the freedom I am now attached to with my Droid...
