I know that there was an update to the drivers that many of us have installed.
According to this link [PLEASE READ]"Petition" Qualcomm for ICS Drivers Compiled for ARMv6 - xda-developers
those drivers were based for armv7? and just recently the drivers for armv6 were released. Maybe I am confusing something here so correct me if I am wrong, but our phones have an armv6 chip so wouldn't these drivers be more proper?

It seems that the petition worked and the actual ICS drivers for Armv6 were posted. Hopefully these can assist in getting the lag out of any ICS ROMs. Finally true hardware acceleration is available to our device.

I was not sure if any dev here was aware of the news or not because it has been rather silent. News obviously broke out about the armv7 drivers since that is what the phones all use now. I figured just in case I would at least repost this news (if people already knew) just to keep it relevant.

that adreno update I put out was not the new ICS Arm7 drivers

for all the CM9 / MIUI roms I would try to get those new ICS Arm 6 drivers working

I would do it, but I am to busy, and can not be having my phone off line

I don't think these are drop in and go. I think there may be some things that have to compile derivative of these drivers.
If you drop them into GB, things will force close because libgenlock.so is missing. I haven't seen a libgenlock.so in an ICS build that works for our phone. (ones for other phones cause core dumps :D )
