Help More problems after cl14... screen timeout/ sleep with video

Im really beginning to hate my moment. Under CL05 the phone completely sucked, now with CL14.... it still completely sucks.

The two main issues im having are the battery will be completely drained in 1-2 hours in low service areas... post here

Now this problem. the phone will not stay asleep after timeout or end button . I have to restart the phone when it does this to make it work normal for a a short while... then usually every day... just a few hours after a restart, it does it again.
So its very consistent, very annoying. Does it with apps or no apps, nothing running or everything running, with service, or with out service.... doesn't matter.
As you can see in the vid, extremely occasionally "shaking" the phone will make it stop. but as im typing this now, its back on again. most of the time shaking doesn't do anything. Next time i may try chunking it at my fireplace

not being a d-bag, but this could've easily been posted in the "Life after CL14" thread. it did not need it's own thread.

I understand, i read though it and most question were not getting answered.

I suppose every thread on the entire forum could be put into two threads right? one for "life with CL05" and one for and "life after cl14"?? why even have a forum then? just have those two threads, right?

I don't get it either. I am so happy I found this forum as it is a great resource, but I don't understand why it is a big deal to post here. I thought a successful forum meant lots of users, traffic, and threads?

I understand the constant reposts and new threads posted without doing searches (when it has been answered already).

i suppose if some people here had there way and they did make everyone post anything related to the moment in one single thread... then those same people would start whining when two replies looked familiar.

so even though I said I wasn't trying to be a douche... you guys decided to be douches and complain because you don't know how to search and post properly

you decided to make an entire new thread to post something that had a place to be posted in the first place. maybe that explains why nobody has bothered to answer your question.

I wasn't trying to be rude (I sure as hell could be if I wanted to). I was just stating a fact. also more people would have looked at and probably answered your question by now if you posted this in the thread that was already dedicated to "post CL14 update problems".

Let's try again shall we, without the animosity?

Rule #1 on Android Forums.... you don't tell new members to "use the search".

Rule #2.... show other members respect, and don't retaliate tit-for-tat.

Rule #2.... if you believe a post belongs elsewhere, report it and a mod will move/merge it as required.

Now, can anyone assist the OP with his problem or should it be merged with the aforementioned "Life after CL14" thread?

1. show me in my original reply to this thread where I said use the search...?

2. if it was read properly, they would've taken the comment the way it was meant and known there was no need for a "retaliation".

why don't you show me what I said that was so wrong to make this person decide he should act up and go back and forth with me.

Whoa, that's frustrating! My Moment doesn't do that even when in total no signal areas like a subway tunnel. The battery life always sucks in weak signal areas, true for all phones, but the screen staying on is not normal behavior. I see that you've up'd to cl14, so you've done a hard reset already, but maybe trying another time wouldn't hurt? My best >guess< is you have bad hardware and a trip to a repair center is in order. At least you have video proof? Good luck!

I'll try another hard reset... we will see.

I apologize for my comments coming across as they apparently did. However, doesn't even single post in the forum fall into the categories "before CL14" and "After cl14"? we're most certainly not going to have just two post and no more ever.

Don't stress over it. If your question/comment fits into and contributes to an existing thread then sure, that's the obvious place to post it. However, if in doubt it's better to start a new thread rather than hijack an existing one. Threads can easily be merged if it's felt necessary; just use the "Report..." button and a staff member will take care of it.

Bottom line.... please don't hold off posting a question simply for fear of posting in the wrong place. ;)
