Updates through the market no lie! And I know there probably isn't much correlation but It's odd for 19 updates in 2 1/2 days that's never happened and I want the new LTE EVO but I hadto fight sprint for my 1year upgrade when the 3d evo came out and I got it on day 1 and now I'm stuck until 2014 April no upgrade only 1 year in April 2013 so ICS is all I have to look forward to even though im dying to get the new LTE EVO but can't :( :( :( :( :(

If you upgrade that often I would consider just paying out of pocket. No carrier is going to give you full 2-year contract discounts every single year. Sprint used to offer the 1-year $150 off retail, but I think they cancelled that program.

Regardless, I think ICS is upon us soon. It does seem strange to me they've been updating all our core Apps. I'm thinking we'll see ICS next week because this week is the Rezound. Just a thought =)

I couldn't agree more with this second half of this post I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that It's odd to see all our core apps have been update update update the past 2 1/2 days!! So I sure hope your right my friend !!! And as far as me upgrading to the new LTE EVO the main cause is the simple word LTE and well of course EVO but the main reason why im head over heels is because LTE is the new generation of 4g and Wimax well it sucks!!! And I don't want to fall behind with my EVO 3d once LTE is deployed by the masses all because I can't upgrade yet... Wimax device owners should receive some kind of incentive to upgrade and trade in Wimax device for LTE device!! I emailed sprint about this and i didn't get much of a reply, and only a price for the LTE EVO with new 2 year agreement no price tag for no new contract even though I blatantly asked for the price without any upgrade!!!

The Evo3D wont be "falling behind" once it gets ICS. It should be a steady reliable device for at least a year or two longer. I know there seems like a lot of pressure to always have the newer, better, phone but that mentality sometimes isn't the best. My friend still carries around his Original MotoDROID from 2009 and loves it. YMMV

I don't get WiMax in Phoenix and there are no plans for LTE in Phoenix with the Sprint LTE roll-out. So, I'll be going with Verizon next year. I agree WiMax owners should be offered an incentive to upgrade due to the lack of WiMax support across the country & now their subsequent halt of WiMax expansion entirely. However, we are really off-topic here. This is a topic for another thread.

I don't think ICS is coming in April. Sometimes during late May or in June possibly since there's a lot of work involved. I don't want to see a half baked OS in my phone as well, so i won't mind waiting a few more weeks. I am also pretty happy with gingerbread in my Evo 3D which is working nice for me keeping me in no hurry to look for an update.

So iv been reading the rezound forums about ICS and they did not receive ICS today like the ad on phandroid in the news section had a leaked document from best buy claiming ICS for the rezound today well that ad was a lie cause they have not got ICS to this minute from what current forum rezound owners are saying!! And I keep hearing this HTC once a week ICS update but i only know of 2 HTC phones In the USA that have got the update so far!?!? Am I missing something?!

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't the evo 3d come out before all these phones, the rezound, the vivid, the razr, how is it that almost a year later the Evo 3d has no ICS? I hope they treat the Evo12 differently(sounds better then evo 4g lte) The 2012 Evo

That's exactly my point right here I couldn't agree more with the post I attached!! So howcome we are last on the list so far?! Cause I'm pretty sure our EVO 3ds did come out before all of these phones!

All I could think right now is, this is htc strategy it self.. They want to penetrate a smartphone market, by keeping an ics update for Evo 3D or other htc variant, so they can penetrate a market with HTC One's variant.. After they're succeed to hit the market (of course with a dateline, it was a rumor that ics for Evo 3D will launch at Q3, but I'm pretty sure the ics for Evo 3D it self actually is ready to launch right now) they will release and ics for Evo.. I thought evo was a unique products ever from HTC, but they need to expand a market and hit their competitors by launching ics with a new variant of htc to make sure the market was belonged for them and sale was increased by that.. No offense, just a noobs opinions.. CMIIW.. :D

So you're basically saying that the Evo 3D won't be getting ICS until after the Evo LTE is released some time in June? I really doubt that.

Evo 3D was a flop in Sprint's and HTC's eyes. If you watch any of the launch footage for the Evo LTE, Sprint is barely acknowledging the 3D's existence. Instead, they are marketing the Evo LTE as the TRUE successor to the original Evo.

At this point, giving ICS to the Evo 3D is low priority because it didn't sell well, so not a lot of people are impacted. Makes sense for them to get the update to their best-selling phones and keep customers happy.

I never watch a launch session of all htc products as you said.. Not in my country.. LOL :D

Okay, it didn't sell well in Sprint's, right? How about the other provider? Rogers? AT&T? Or Europe provider maybe?

If what you said was true, I feel like a step son by buying this evo, eh? :(
