Any chance that Droid Fighter and Droid Blade are the same device?

Stopped by the Verizon store this evening to check out some new phones since my original Droid X is ready to be replaced. I've had my eyes on the Droid Razr Maxx for awhile, but now that this Droid Fighter is supposedly coming out soon, I've decided to hold out. I asked the sales person that helped me if they knew anything about the Fighter and if its being released on the 12th like everyone is saying, and both the manager and sales person I spoke with had never even heard about the Fighter. They said that they are usually in the dark about this kind of stuff, but I do agree that with less than 2 weeks till the 12th, you'd think we would have at least seen some sort of leaked advertisement for the phone's release. I'm probably gonna hold out for another week or so, and if there is no official release date given, I might have to pull the trigger on the Maxx.

You should have tested them and asked if they've heard of the Droid Incredible 4G. I figure if they have record of that with the 4/26 date, then we def. know the Fighter isn't happening on the 12th. Hmmmm.

I think April 12th (or somewhere close) might be correct.

These days were all either correct or close to being correct if I remember correctly. Hopefully we get some more info soon. My Dinc is on it's last leg.

Finally some news about a new phone.. I almost picked up the Nexus but wanted to wait for the bugs to get worked out and see what would be coming out this year. So far this one is looking good. Really liking that their now going with the larger battery...

The Incredible 4G is on the news page of our eRos workstation but thats it. No official release date or other information has been leaked. I will update this when we get information on either handset at our stores.

Just an obsevation, but if the workshop for the "Fighter" is on 4/12, how can they start selling it the same day? Seems to me the workshop for a phone would be at least a week before the release date.

All of those devices except for the bottom two have already been out for a while now.

And the release dates for the ones that are out are very close to what is on that list... amazingly. It seems like Verizon phones always get pushed back, but lately they've been hitting the mark.

I ain't buying it. That pic is of a regular Razr or Maxx. Those specs are the exact same of the rumored specs that have bene floating around and without any type of source.

Then again, that's probably what we'll get. LOL

Having said that - I don't remember this:

1.8 GHz OMAP4470

IIRC the 1.8 rumor wasn't in the original post when that picture linked. It was somebody in that thread's guess (on the chinese forum) and it sorta took on a life of it's own from there.

Not saying the OMAP 4470 @1.8 is not possible, just I'm hopeful for an S4 and I don't think there is any real info to back up the claims of that particular OMAP. They sure love their TI Processors though.

I hate the stress of picking a new phone. I thought I'd narrowed it down to between two, but if both the INC 4G and the Fighter aren't appealing.... maybe I'll jump ship to Sprint. Of course, I'd probably quickly regret that.

This situation regarding the Fighter is odd. Only 5 days til rumored release and nothing. If it's truely to be released on the 12th, there have to be phones in the distibution system. Someone somewhere has to have opened a box and looked at the phone and read the specs in the paperwork.

Not saying a can't happen but to me it's not looking to promising. Which is a bummer because I'm looking forward to this phone.
