Here it is:
HTC One X car dock and media dock hands-on photos | The Verge

Looks like the One X has both media and car dock, so I can't imagine they wouldn't make ones for the LTEvo.

Actually I read somewhere that the new EVO will not have a media dock. Im not talking about the car charger. The media dock requires the pinpole adaptors which the EVO does not seem to have if you look at the pictures. Specifically i am talking about the dock that plays movies while you do other things on the phone that was demonstrated on the One X.

Anyone know if the new Evo has a media dock? I seem to notice no docking pinholes.

If they don't, why would they take out one of their new feature?

With the metal chassis it's probably hard to use that pin setup like on the one x. You'd just short it out trying to hook it up. If they have a dock it will probably plug into the MHL connector on the side. I assume that's why they put it on the side instead of the bottom. For media they'll be pushing their wireless solution.

Really? That would be really odd, considering how prominent the media docks have been for android phones.

This is what I'd assume as well. Or even if they didn't make a media dock, it'd be an adaptor that attaches via the MHL connector to a HDMI connector. For those that got the 3VO, I seem to vaguely recall that they had something like that for that phone...but can someone that got the 3VO confirm?

yea i was gonna say, i'm not too worried about the lack of push-pins on the LTEVO because HTC is integrating their wireless media solutions with is even better in my opinion.

as for car docks, since this has NFC you could do some pretty cool stuff even with a generic dock. if you put a customized NFC sticker on the normal every day dock that you buy at Walmart you could have the NFC force the phone to jump into car dock mode and pair with the bluetooth in your car, all hassle free. it would do it automatically

Wow, I didn't realize NFC was that intuitive. No wonder so many people have been wanting that integrated. Unfortunately, that won't work for me. I don't have bluetooth integration in my car and I'm not about to upgrade my car right now...LOL.

lol i don't either but a lot of people do now adays, also the HTC media jack thing that was demoed is pretty cool to, it fits into a 3.5mm input jack if you have one on your stereo and NFC can make your phone pair to that i would guess... wireless is the way of the future anyway, you shouldn't need a dock to enjoy your media a certain way, you shouldn't need a dock to start playing music on your phone through your car, it should just happen

Yeah, I don't even have an AUX or 3.5 on the OEM radio. I'm using a tape adaptor...LOL. I blame it on Mercedes for always being 5 steps behind, as far as tech (well, at least back in the early to mid 2000's).

the SIM is for LTE ONLYYYYYY it will NOT provide GSM signal, the radios are NOT present. the SIM ONLY has LTE data on it. think of it like this, the SIM card is like a MicroSD card that tells the phone how to use networks, the one in the EVO ONLY tells the phone about LTE, it has no idea what GSM is or how it works... you will NOT get this phone to work overseas

Actually doesn't the Krait SoC have GSM, CDMA and LTE radios built on the chip? The LTEVO just doesn't have the antennas for GSM.

guys seriously LMAO stop with the SIM = overseas stuff! we don't need false rumors flying around, i'm trying reallllllly hard to squash this bug but i will rehash anyway

Duh! Your a century late, someone had been clarified this already....you going back earlier in thread to retrieve this would make someone think that!;)

I also have a question, if i want to connect my evo to a car stereo what will i need?

If your car has an auxiliary jack, you just need to buy an auxiliary audio cable to connect the two. I bought a 3' Dynex cable from Best Buy and the sound was too quiet and it sounded muffled, so I returned it and spent a little more for a better cable, the sound is great now. If your car doesn't have an aux jack, if you at least have a cassette player I know they have tape adapters but I don't know anything about them.

When I use the kickstand and plug in the phone, I cannot stand it up due to the placement of the power plug placement. Am I missing an incredible dock or something, or is this a design flaw?

Also, is it me or is the new Evo's speaker weaker than the OG? Other than these two (perceived?) flaws, loving the new one.:)

The kickstand has enough spring support to flip the phone 180 and rest it on the stand while charging.

just turn the device over. The kick stand works in either direction.

There are charging speaker docks that work with Android devices that have charging receptacles in the bottom center of handsets. Obviously these do not work w/ Evo LTE. Has anyone found one that will?

We've loved the ones that work w/ our iPod Touch devices, but the bizarre location of the charging receptacle on the Evo LTE has made sourcing such a device a real challenge. :( Thanks in advance for any help!
