New Droid; DOA after 1 day.

I have had the droid eris for several months now, and then finally upgraded to the Moto which I wanted from the get go. I received my phone yesterday, was working fine all day yesterday and all day today until I went to send a text message to someone in my contact list and their name wouldn't pull up, I sucked it up but later on discovered I couldn't text message anyone and kept getting an error, but everything else seemed to be working fine. I called Verizon and as I was speaking to the tech rep discovered after making a couple of calls before calling VZW that I could now no longer call out (all I would get is DIALING and then call failed/call was lost), to anyone (before and after doing a system wipe. I was having some crackling issues w/ the audio on both the headset and speakerphone but I don't think that would have caused these issues would they? Has anyone experienced this with a Droid before? Is it just a bad phone or is this somewhat normal? I hope not. Off to see those wonderful store reps tomorrow...

Well, since it's within your 30 days, they should give you a new unit. Good luck with the reps.

LOL, btw, DOA means 'dead on arrival'. So your title makes no sense at all :D

I know what DOA means, but it's what a phone that dies after two days is called, at least that's what the consensus was when I used to work in the call center, but considering I've been having problems SINCE I RECEIVED IT, it would be the same thing :)

Haha. That just means everyone at your work uses the phrase wrong. But we're just giving you a hard time man. That sucks about your phone, that's definitely not normal. Hope you got your replacement already. Cheers.
