Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Happy Monday all. :p:rolleyes: back to work to recover from my weekend. Pretty sore this morning. Pulled an abdominal muscle swimming Saturday night, when in quick succession, my daughter, and then my nephew fell into the pool, and I had to scramble to get them out. Needless to say that was the end of our swim time, but thankfully they both are fine other than a little swallowed pool water. Glad to hear your situation ended well too Chief.

Morning all! Supposed to be stormy today here.

Nice shoes BB! but wrong thread ;) ;) (I kid!)

You're very brave. I kid BabyBlues about a lot of things. I would NEVER tease her about her SHOES. That's up there with discussing politics and religion. (Well for her, shoes may fall in the latter category)

3 Pairs?? wow! I'm honestly a little shocked and dissappointed we haven't had a fashion show with the three pairs and three matching outfits yet. :(

Okay. I really wasn't paying much attention to the shoe chatter until I read fashion show and matching outfits. Give me a couple minutes to grab some beer and popcorn and I'll be ready. :D

Well the blue ones are part of the three and I don't have an outfit to match yet. :p

I'll never understand you women. You buy shoes and have nothing to wear with them, lol. The wife does the same. Buy shoes that are cute because they're cheap, but has nothing to wear them with and has to go buy an outfit that cost double the price of the shoes. By the time it's over with a $20 pair of cute shoes has turned into a $100 outfit she'll wear twice, lol.

Oh and to top it off, the reason she quits wearing the outfit is because the shoes end up hurting her feet so she doesn't want to wear them anymore, lol. I've told her several times that she needs to to pick 5 or 6 different pair of shoes that are fairly basic and will go with most outfits and buy quality shoes instead of cheap ones that hurt her feet :p I'd gladly pay $500 or so for her to have that many quality shoes she'll wear everywhere instead of that much for 30 pair of shoes she hates wearing because they hurt.

5 or 6????!!!!! The horrors!!!!!
And the problem a lot of times is that we forget to go shoe shopping when our feet are swollen from walking in heels all day. Its the only way to make sure they'll fit. Personally I rarely spend more than $60 on an outfit. I'm a good shopper! :p

Haha, my wife isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. Her shopping habbits could be MUCH worse. At least she buys stuff on sale, and by on sale I'm talking like 80% off. I have no clue how she finds these deals. I'm finally starting to get it through to her though that if she buys quality stuff and wears it a lot, I have no problem justifying the expense even at full price. It's the cute, cheap stuff I have a problem buying when she doesn't wear it more than once, haha.

Yeah, my wife is a good shopper too, she rarely spends that much, but it has happened. I can't complain, I just don't get it, lol.

Gooooooooooood morning everyone - happy Monday. In a pretty good mood on a Monday morning, which is always nice.

Had a nice relaxing but very productive weekend. Goal for Saturday was to paint the wheels for my car and even though I always doubt myself they turned out really well in my opinion. Pic of the wheel at the bottom - they just need some rubbing compound now. Need to just shine the lips up a bit, put the bolts back in get the tires mounted next weekend. Pretty proud of myself considering I had never really spray painted anything before so that was good.

Sunday me and the girlfriend talked about moving in together officially and moving out of my current apartment to one closer to our friends. It will add about 20 minutes to my commute, but if we stayed in my current apartment she would have to endure NYC traffic (towards the tunnel) twice a day and depending on class/work which wouldn't be fair to her. So my lease ends June 30 so gotta start looking around for places soon.

In Android news, Samsung sent out Galaxy invites for May 3rd so we will finally see the SGSIII officially on that day - pretty excited. Samsung to unpack The Next Galaxy phone on May 3rd | Android and Me

The wheels and SGSIII are definitely interesting news, but officially moving in with your girlfriend? I hope she doesn't read this thread and see you tucked that tidbit in the middle of your news and second to the wheels! Congratulations Stigy. I hope you two enjoy your new place together!

Great wheels Stigy. Just did the calipers on our Acura metallic red. They look very cool. What kind of paint did you use on the wheels. We got estimates from a local body shop to spray the wheels for our truck (all black dodge 1500 hemi, no chrome except the wheels) but he wants to much so we are thinking of doing it ourselves. Somewhat of car buffs here, Acura and Dodge daily drivers but 23 Tbucket ( for those of us a little older, can you say "Kookie,Kookie lend me your comb")and 87 911 for show and tell :)

Going on this:

Nice wheels Stigy! And Congrats on the next step in your relationship!

Thank ya!

Thank you - haha she wouldn't mind. She sat outside with me and helped me wet sand and clear coat. She's a keeper.

I just used regular Rustoleum paint on the wheels like you get at Home Depot. DupliColor primer, Rustoleum paint and DupliColor clear on them. Just need to hit them with some rubbing compound to bring out the satin finish in it.
