Hi...
I believe that this have been answered many times before but I could not find anything or I have find in other treads but didn't help me much so I have open new tread. Please spear some time and help me because I have problem with this phone ,-)

o.k. couple questions
how do you transfer music to i7500
- I have connect it to PC via USB, installed samsung New PC studio...it recognize i7500 as removable disc... and I add some files to to it...but they didn't and in any folder...I have had only DCIM and downolad folders...

then i make new folder ''music'' and place all the music inside

Now I don't know how to play those files ?

I start ''music'' app from samsung but it doesn't open anything !?!

another thing is how to add pictures and set them as a wallpaper

I have take some pictures with mobile phone, but even tham I can't place on wall, because i cant set the path to them...
When I open wallpaper galleria it only opens the preinstaled pictures...how can I add pictures to that gallery ???

sorry if those question have bean answered but I have spend like one day trying to figure this out...

thanks

after that I will have some question how to add and change them ;-)

when you have your phone mounted in mass storage mode to transfer files it cannot be used to play them

looking at your symptoms looks like you still have the phone connected to the pc when you are trying to use the media players

as for wall paper.
put an image from your computer or use whats already in your images from photos (again makesure the phone is not connected to the pc in mass storage mode)
hold finder down on any one of the 3 home screens and select wall papers
then select pictures and it should bring up every picture on the phone

i think both of your problems is because you have the phone mounted in mass storage mode to the pc still.
disconnect it

Big Thanks Rastaman
this helps
now I see pictures (can place tham ass wallpaper) and music

I would never think that this could be a problem ,-)

Do you by any chance have some link how to change theme and most important how to add your own ring tone
About ring tone, usualy a cut some mp3 and place it as a ring tone. Does any one know how to to make that tipe of file as ring tone in i7500?

thanks

Halp. I get the same error tranfering music files to the phone all the time... It says: "Unsupported device"... The GT-i7500 icon appears ONLY when the phone is NOT at mass storage...
It recognize also 2 removable disks which, when I try to transfer music to, says "Insert disk in drive :F"
Tried everything I can to transfer, nothing else I could/know try...
I would appreciate some help...

The top bar, where your clock and battery gauge goes, I think it's actually called the notification bar. Hold down on it, you can then drag it downwards to open up the full 'menu'.

With your USB connected, you should see something saying 'USB connected'. Click on it, you get 2 options, 'mount' and 'don't mount'. Choose 'mount'.

I think the mass storage mode isn't necessary, but I forget, the last time I checked, I had it on mass storage mode and it worked.

I didnt actually realize that the 'notification bar' you were talking about is in the phone, i was looking for it on my pc like crazy. But then again, in my defence, im rly rly stupid for these things :))

FYI (you *ing *ers ;)),
I'm pretty sure the *-inserting censorware is a generic part of the forum software -- so no need for, um, buttbuttination? attempts against leading staff members.

As for inappropriate user names, they're filtered differently (as in: not), and this issue has been discussed. I believe that the outcome was that it'll be dealt with (forceful renaming) on a case-by-case basis in case it gets out of hand.

But please folks, don't push it. Not even "just to try it out". :)

I have the same problem.
I've tried both with NPS and Windows Explorer with Internal SD mounted and when I try to transfer a file it brakes on the first file!
What is the problem?

just to be sure...
1) forget about nps
2) plug your phone to the comp via usb (while the phone is on)
3) drag down the notification bar on the phone, tap the usb connection and select "mount" from the resulting pop-up
4) copy-paste via windows explorer, like you would to an usb key

this doesn't work?

if so, i don't know what the problem is, but for a workaround you could use swiftp (search android market) to transfer files via wifi instead of usb

yes, that is exactly how I do it! when I paste it, on the notification bar shows "Preparing internal SD card"! Windows shows "There is no disk in the drive".
Then I can mount it again, but it's no use...
