Mine are awful with the iPhone. This is actually good, its usually around 400kbps  I never had speeds this bad with my Android phones. Picked up a Droid Razr Maxx on Verizon and few days ago. Check out the speed on that! I never even came close to those speeds with Sprint's 4G. Not to mention that Wimax was such a battery hog, phone would be dead in 4 hours if I kept it on. The Maxx runs on 4G forever, battery is excellent. I can also get signal with Verizon in places I couldn't with Sprint. About to sell my iPhone and leave Sprint to be honest.

My 3g speeds in San Diego are abysmal. I get on average around 70-160kb down and like 35kb up. WiMax (in like... two 5 block areas of ALL san diego near me) is like... 800kb down and 140kb up.

Still extremely poor. Lately it's been getting even worse... tried to find the closest wal-mart on google maps, after 2 minutes had gone by while it was still trying to connect and search (had 4 bars. >.>), we gave up and used my friends Droid 2. I love my Evo 3D, but shiza. If I can't USE the thing because I've got a crippled, crawling connection, what's the point? A month straight of this so far, and it's been hit and miss over the past 4 months. I swear I've never had so many problems with Sprint's service.
It has me SERIOUSLY tempted to look elsewhere. I looked at Verizon... but my monthly bill to have what I have now (excluding data... >.>) will just under double from $80-ish/mo to $130. Not sure if I'm either willing to do that, or just deal with having crippled internet on my phone.

Yea, it is a shame data speeds have gotten so slow for some of us. It can definitely be frustrating. From what I see at s4gru.com, Sprints Network Vision upgrades are going to be like a whole new network. Well, I guess thats because it is going to be a whole new network. By the end of the year, a good portion will have major upgrades done... if you can wait till the end of the year. lol

not sure if this was affected by all the aircraft here at the airport, but this is
my typical speeds here at Midway Airport...

I'm hoping that speeds increase with NV or I'll bite the bullet and switch to At&t, I won't go back to Verizon after I had such a horrible Customer experience with them..

The speeds will and should increase once NV towers go active in your region.

Yeah I know they should, but I'm just saying some days this is ridiculous, I think the thing that pisses me off the most is when I go roaming in certain areas of my house...as you said in the NV thread if NV fails they're done, because I know I won't stick around if service doesn't improve by next Feb when my contract is up...I'll take my $$$ someplace else

I may have less to complain about. Just now I got 1738kbps down and 462kbps up on 3g here in Oakland, CA. Since 4/14/2012 I've seen download speeds consistently 1400kbps or better. Before that I was lucky to get 500kbps. Maybe they've upgraded a tower or two around here recently. Now they justneed to improve 3g in Berkeley, CA where I work and I'll be set. :)

I read that they where going rev b with NV i read it on sprints web site

I've never heard that. If you have a link, I'd like to see it. I've heard rev. B was being considered, but it never went through. I follow Sprints network upgrades pretty closely.. and, like I said, Sprints Network Vision upgrades, include EVDO (rev. A)-Advanced, 1x-Advanced, and LTE. (LTE-Advanced is expected, down the road.)

Crap! I spoke too soon. Now I'm getting 209ms ping 227kbps down and 492kbps up.

Just when I was starting to be a Sprint cheerleader I'm proven wrong again. Sprint, when are you going to ever get it? Network Vision better fix this or I'm gone. I've shown over 13 years of loyalty. Now my patience is running thin. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Yea, we all know... calm yourself.. relax.

Network Vision is looking good. Here are some recently submitted speed tests on on one of the new towers (from a s4gru member).

Getting about 1.5 down during on-peak times and 2.5 down at off-peak times via Sprint 3G. And, given its infancy, I'm sure further testing/engineering will only improve these numbers.

I don't know how to post a link but I googled sprint network and it was the first one. There is also a video talking about that's how I knew what it was and sprint might be getting it or should be getting it

On this Sprint's site: https://network.sprint.com/
In my area, for my closest tower, it says:
- Last 6 months: 1 data speed upgrade
- Next 6 months: 1 voice upgrade

My question is: do the above statements reflect the Network Vision (NV) upgrades?

In fact my data speeds have slowed in the last few months. I'm depending on the NV upgrade to improve 3G data speeds. :hmmmm:

Nope, those do Not reflect Network Vision at all. That site reflects temporary improvements only designed to help out until Network Vision is deployed. When Network Vision arrives, there will be significant improvements.

Ok, so today here in Berkeley, CA I'm getting a pathetic 92kbps down and Speedtest doesn't register anything for up. That's with a 805ms ping. Really????!!! Perhaps there is a tower down? This is worse than normal (and normal is bad).

To all of those who are suggesting patience I've been living with these sucky 3G speeds for at least 8 months in the Bay Area. I get occasional relief where I have blips of acceptable speeds. But most of the time, it's bad.

yes, we are all well aware. (you've repeated this numerous times). no need to re-post continually. Network Vision is on the way. If that doesn't work, then adios. But, please, don't flood the threads with the same post! I have posted the future of Network Vision above, if that does not give you hope, then move on.

In Tampa, FL I get around 2.5Mbps dl on 3G and 10-13Mbps on WiMax

In Waukesha, WI (near Milwaukee)...a local Sprint store manager said I should be happy with 0.30Mbps. It is common for me to get .05-.15Mbps. We NEVER got WiMax in our area.

A lot of the Sprint nuthuggers here would definitely be singing another tune if they received those type of data speeds along with the poor reception for calls.

I would switch to Verizon after my contract expires but their customer service is as bad as AOL's was back in the dialup days. I'd pay for their better service if I could trust them not to screw me over. My wife unsuccessfully tried to activate an Apple iPhone4S on their network. She returned it the next day and stayed with Sprint. I've been fighting with Verizon for over four months to get the ETF and activation fee waived. Verizon apparently doesn't like following the law.

I had good service with AT&T before the smartphone boom. They are very expensive so I will take a hard look at US Cellular before making a final decision. Perhaps Sprint can get their shit together before then but I don't have much faith for them paying much attention to Wisconsin. Time will tell.
