create a pic folder

Hi All , just joined this site as i've just got my Samsung Galaxy S2 , and i love it but still getting use to it ..
what i want to ask is in the Gallery folder where the pictures are how do i create a new folder to be able to move some of the pictures from the Camera folder into the new folder i've created if you know what i mean ... i've got some pics in there that have been sync with my google account but i wanna create a new one ...
thanks in advance :)

There are a couple of ways but the simplest is to connect the phone to the PC using the USB connection method. Then open the harddisk of the phone like a thumbdrive. From there, you can create folders, move files, copy, paste etc. like a thumbdrive.

To get there, tap on menu / settings / wireless & network / USB utilities, then tap on the icon to connect. Connect the USB cable and tap on another icon on the phone.

You will then be able to see the phone memory in the My Computer of the PC.

The same idea can be applied if you use "My Files" in the phone. Its a file explorer app (of which there are alternatives on google play). With that you can also move, copy, paste etc.

But PC is faster and easier.

Cheers

There is an application on the SGS2 called my files.
It's a basic file explorer. You can you use it to create folders, copy/move files etc.

If any folder on the phone has a valid image file then the gallery will automatically display it.

Just use the My Files app to create a new folder and then move the images that you want from the camera folder to the new folder.

Also I recommend ES File Explorer (free from Play store) for more advanced needs, it supports multiple file selection, handles zip files, has built in viewers, etc.
