From what I recall, the Epic Touch 4g was released 4 1/2 months after the European SGS 2, correct? So, possibly late August/early September release for Sprint's version of the SGS 3?

According to this site, the GS2 was released May 1 2011 in the UK.

Yes that's why I said the Epic 4g Touch was released 4 1/2 months after the SGS 2 in Europe. Wasn't the E4GT released in late August or early September? That's what I seem to recall because the Photon was released 7/31, so it had to be at least 30 days after the Photon was released.

And since we're talking about Sprint phones, I just wanted to point out the timemframe from the European Samsung releases vs. the Sprint.

That story originated from cnet. In other words it carries no weight. I stopped following that website long ago.

Yes, Sprint was the first US carrier to get the SGS2.. It was released Sep. 16.

I could see that for the GSM carriers, but not necessarily the CDMA carriers. Plus, the US carriers always want to add their own proprietary b.s.

Been searching for leaks, but nothing since the last link I posted. I did find this though, that's projected (no pun intended) for ATT

Thanks for the update. I should be forgetting the Note and setting my sights on the EvoLte or the S3 but it was love at first sight with the Note's size.

Well we still have the L710 that passed wifi cert in Feb that no one knows what it is. People think it's an LTE Epic Touch, but they think that because of the model number. What they don't realize is that the Orginal Epic (D700) and Galaxy Nexus (L700) share the same number too but are completely different devices. I have my theory on what the L710 is..

Well it looks like the "Electrify" is simply the current Photon 4G from Sprint to be released on US Cellular. It doesn't look like a successor to the Photon 4G on Sprint, yet. I'm keeping fingers crossed. :listen:

The Electrify was released on US Cellular. The Electrify Icon is the successor to the Electrify. If the Electrify is getting a successor, no reason for us to believe Photon won't have one (even if they don't continue the name).
