I had started a thread the other day about "insurance fraud" lmfao but i don't think i am going to have to do that
because of what happened to day....

I was in the Starbucks here in Ft. Lauderdale...Just got here and everything and I went to the bathroom..

Anyways I didn't realize it....But my phone somehow dropped out of my purse..into the toilet...

So i'm sitting there for a few seconds looking down at it in shock...

Which was dumb because the toilet's are automatic and it sucked it right down the drain or whatever and then it starts overflowing

i'm laughing and about to cry because I had spent two hours customizing and downloading a bunch of time to and for my phone only to have it flushed down the toilet

The janitor guy or whoever finally was able to get my drenched eris and it's working decently except i'm having speaker/mike issues...

I already doused this phone into like a whole liter of hand sanitizer(exaggeration) but i still refused to put this anywhere
near my face

I called Verizon for my replacement(this really was not intentional lol)
but it's going to take 2 days to get here

so is there anything i can do to fix the mike issues with it?
I dried it out and everything...

UGH!

I had dropped a few devices in water before...Someone once told me that if you take out the battery, wrap said electronic device in about 2-3 napkins/paper towels and put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes..it just might work again. You must also remember your phone is in the freezer as well...

Steps
1- take device out of water, wipe off water
2- take out the battery and let dry alone
3- wrap device with paper towels/napkins(prevents frost damage)
4- put the wrapped device in freezer for 10-15 minutes(20 if you want to be sure)
5- since you're at the freezer anyway.. might as well get something to munch on while you wait.
6- take out frozen device and let it sit in a warm place for a long while(anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and a half)
7- put the battery back in device

Unintentionally tried and tested on Motorola i776, old iPod Nano.

When I dropped my old cell phone in the water it took about a day for it to sound normal again.
