I feel like this browser would be better suited to the iphone. A big thing about android is of course that we have the menu button, which is essential for most apps. After a few minutes of testing, it seems to me like opera just ignores the menu button and wastes valuable screen space with things I don't need to constantly see.
where the devil did ya get it? that does sound annoying, weird thing is, blackberry uses the menu button a LOT so its weird that they don't throw that down for android
Downloaded it, its fast but prefer the stock browser. The only thing I'll be using it for is when I need to upload a picture since the regular browser has "uploads disabled".

What I love about the Android browser is the kinetic energy on the scroll speed. Opera Mini scrolling is weak and lame like the iPhone. Double tap zooming is fast. I like it, but double tap zooming out takes like 20 taps because double tapping once zoomed centers the page where you tapped instead of actually zooming out.
Browser might be good, but I have the Droid 2.1 multitouch browser which is way better than this, dolphin, xScope, and the Milestone browser. I'll uninstall, pass, and wait anxiously for Fennec.
I had the S2 and Opera was key to being able to browse with any speed at all. On my droid, it doesnt look as good, nor render pages as well, as the stock browser. On WSJ.com I am getting alot of text overlapping. Think I will stick with stock.
It was all right, I really don't care that much about pinch-zoom; I've gotten used to using the zoom menu at the bottom of the screen. Opera was fast, but it felt too limited; it reminded me of browsing on my old BB Curve. I'd rather wait a few seconds and get a real-looking page.
Ok, here is where I really have to disagree. I will take speed over pinch/zoom ANY day! I still have no idea what the huge hang up in on pinch/zoom. So a browser could be the crappiest browser on the planet, but if it had pinch/zoom, everyone would flock to it!!
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
I was a very anti-Opera person after seeing it in the WinMo phones, but after using it this morning on the Droid, I am left completely flabbergasted by the sheer speed of this thing. Beats any other Android browser in speed, hands down, at the moment. If fact I showed it to others with WinMo devices and they couldn't believe it either...
Now it has a long way to go and might not be ready for everyday use but I still can't believe how fast it is. Of course when the full version of Opera comes out it will probably be a dog Still waiting on FF for mobile...
At last, no more upload disabled by using opera
Well, I'm still gonna use dolphin for browsing because of it's easy to use tool, and opera for uploading file.
And I'm waiting for other browser to include upload functionality.
