Mmm, I'm putting my blue cheese chicken pasta on the menu next week. Vidalia onions are in season, the make awesome caramelized onions for this recipe.
Oh my mouth is a bit watery at the thought of vidalia onions. On the grill.

Just called the wife after we landed. Of course she wants to go out for dinner and asked if I wanted sushi or steak. Guess what my answer was...

Medium rare ribeye here I come!
Enjoy!!!!

How about dining out for steak? Give us your best opinion on chain restaurants for steak. I love Longhorn Steak House. Price is fair and steaks are very good. I have tried Ruth Chris and other Chop houses, but can't justify the price vs the taste. Anyone else have an opinion?

Chain I'd have to say Longhorn or Outback. But Ruth Chris for really special occasion (I believe that is where someone is taking me for my birthday :D ). Non chain there is a Spanish restaurant in town that makes such awesome skirt steak its sinful.

Speaking of the Sprint Nexus, since most of the GNex guides are in here, might I suggest we change the division of the GNex forum from Standard and Verizon to Standard and LTE? I think the sprint folks would get more use out of the Verizon thread than the GSM one.

Post your suggestion in the suggestions and feedbacks forum so that Phases (admin) can read it :)

Good morning nexicans. I've had another bout with insomnia and been up since 3:30. I guess I'll take a nap this afternoon, but for now, I'm watching squirrels try to figure out how to outwit a squirrel proof bird feeder. They are tenacious little creatures.

I have partial insomnia, but my problem is falling asleep, not waking up.

Good morning, here at work. I did get a reprieve from tomorrow, my manager decided the task wasn't urgent enough, or big enough to justify having me work Sunday. I'm not too disappointed by being here though, because the task I am doing is above my job description, so it may be a little bit of a test for a supervisor position in the near future :D.

I'll just be frank and throw out that dining out for steak is kind of dumb. I mean, how hard is it to grill a steak? Buy a really nice cut, put some salt and pepper on it and grill it. Save yourself loads of money.
That said, I've only been to a couple of steakhouses in my life and the only thing that would get me back to one is a blooming onion at Outback, mmmmm.

I dunno, they always taste better at the restaurant for whatever reason. But yeah, I tried to do a blooming onion at home one time, disaster. Got to go out if you want that.

Onion Petals are just about as good at Logan's Roadhouse, but if I order a steak there I always specify NO SEASONING AT ALL. They absolutely kill a good steak with their seasoning... it's all you taste!

I find there's just enough seasoning residue on the grill to ever-so-lightly flavor the steak, and I can actually taste the meat.

Oh BTW Montreal Steak Seasoning is the bomb when used in moderation at home... Cavender's for everything else grilled ;)

Dang people, it's breakfast time and we're still going on about STEAK! Now you people have me hungry...

Oh well, the conversation could be worse, I s'pose

Steak and eggs is a perfectly acceptable breakfast meal! As is chicken fried steak and country gravy. :D

Well I had chickfila for breakfast. I figure working on a Saturday I could splurge for a little something to make the day a little better.

Yep, that's the huge problem with fast food. It's always a "splurge" to make one feel better. Well documented in Supersize Me.
And yeah, I had Five Guys last night cause I had a long, crappy day

Yeah, I have an apple, light yogurt, and a turkey sandwich for lunch, plus I will take my usual 2.5 mile walk... So I'm OK. :D

Morning all...happy weekend/Saturday/work day to all.
Had good friends over last night for home made fajitas, Spanish rice and cookies-n-cream ice cream pie...oh and wine. Lots of wine...again!!
Today is work around the house day (read: honey-do list day...) and then out to dinner with friends for my favorite meal...sushi :)
Hope everyone has a productive weekend!!!

Dropped my GN from waist high onto a WalMart parking lot. It landed face down making a racket and the battery door came off ad the battery popped out.

I closed my 4 letter word emitting mouth and picked it up, With out looking at the screen I put it back together. I took a peek and not a scratch anywhere on the phone! Whew!
