Root Desire HD entering into Boot loader directly on power on

Dear all,

I have already rooted my desire HD long back. I have been using several custom ROMs and finally settled to MIUI. Couple of days back I put this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1512565.
Here's the problem now. My phone entered into "Safe Mode". When I have switched off, its entering BOOT LOADER and the power and volume buttons are not responding. PLEASE help me out. I am very concerned regarding this issue.

I am not sure how to help at the moment... I have no experience of "safe mode"... hang in there - I will have a look to see what I can find and reply ASAP (I am in work aat the moment, so am only checking in here periodically)

The ROM I installed was [ROM] MIUI.us 2.4.13 v4 4.0.4 (ICS) 04/13/12 - xda-developers,
Sorry that the above link hadn't worked.(It worked when I posted this post). Anyways, hope you can help me out. I am really stuck at the boot loader and my power n volume keys not at all responding. Thanks

Right... I have had a word with another staff member about your issue... he informed me that safe mode is a mode that temporarily disables all user installed apps... if your phone works while in safe mode, then it means that an app could be causing you problems and you can uninstall any apps you think it could be.

Hi Buddy,
I am having problem with the volume keys. Some how by pressing the volume down key very hard, through recovery mode, I was able to come out of the boot loader. But still stuck in SAFE MODE. Even on restarting the phone, its still being in safe mode only. But when I Power off, on switching on again its going to boot loader mode.

Regarding the apps, I have installed many 3rd party apps(Not from Market). Exactly can't predict which one might be causing the issue. Is there a way to uninstall them from safe mode.(No apps are being seen in this mode to uninstall them).

Right... at least you can get out of the bootloader. I would imagine that there is a way to remove apos while in safe mode... leave it with me for a while and I will see what I can find for you

I have uninstalled all the apps, but still on restarting the phone still is entering safe mode itself.
I am not sure, if the volume keys are culprit here.

I have just fund an interesting site that talks about safe mode, give some instructions on how to get in to it and how to remove apps.

It dies sound like other could be a physical problem with your phone though... I will speak with another guide about this to see if he has any other ideas!

Just a quick thought, based on what he said to me last night... are you able to reboot into recovery? If so, you could try and wipe cache/dalvik cache from within there - this could sort you out.

Let me know if you can get in to recovery... if not, I'll speak to him

Yes,by long pressing the power key(since I m using 4.0, I get options like NORMAL,HOT BOOT,BOOTLOADER,RECOVERY), I can enter into recovery mode, But the volumes keys are not responding in the recovery mode. Is there a way I can put 2.3 again through adb connecting to PC.

You could try flashing a touch recovery like 4 EXT Touch, and then when you are in you don't have to use the volume keys to navigate

Ah right ok sorry, got the impression that you were able to get to the recovery. I'm not sure how you would install the recovery from safe mode but maybe that thread I linked might have an answer in it perhaps

Hii Dude,
Out of frustation, I just slowly pulled out the volume keys and with the help of some pick like thing I managed to make the volume keys work.

Finally, I have flashed 2.3.7 again.

Thanks a lot for your help dude. I will install the Touch recovery app so that I don't need to pluck the volume keys again n again.
