I really like my Eris and this is just a little pet peeve of mine. I have a bad habit when ever I end a call I don't hit the Home Icon but put the phone in sleep mode and when I unlock it later it's still on the phone pad screen. Yes, I know this a stupid pet peeve to have but it's driving me nuts!!!! Does anyone know if I can changes my settings so that every time I put my phone into sleep mode (hit end button once) that it will automatically send me back to my home screen when I unlock it? Thanks!

For 1.5, with spare parts, you can set it so your hit end anywhere, it takes to home screen, hit end again and it locks.

I miss not having that with 2.1

It's the reason I don't have spare parts any longer. That was the best feature, imo.

Try the app "Not Call Log". It'll take you back to the home screen after every call, even if you don't actually hit the "hang up" button and let the other person terminate the call. When the call ends (regardless of who hung up, you don't have to hit any button), it'll take you back to the home screen.

Works great. Hope it doesn't kill my battery since I actually get a full day now with 2.1. Very, very leery of installing anything not necessary at this point.

It won't. It uses relatively NO resources and doesn't actually do ANYTHING until you hang up a call (or the other person hangs up). Uses insignificant memory and CPU resources.

It does nothing but return you to the home screen at the end of the call. It does not affect your call log or anything like that.
