Root Bugless Beast 2.0.1 to 2.1

Any advice on the best way to go from my 2.0.1 (version 1.1) to the 2.1 ROM up.

I just noticed that part that says he will be be developing mostly for the 2.1 rom now and am starting to get some bugs in the 2.0.1 that aren't being worked on.

Simplest way? is there a non data loss way

If you wanted to go all out i would first flash let say bugless beauty 2.0.1 and then from there using the update.zip( not recommend) flash the bugless beast 2.1 rom. You won't lose data that way but bugs might come biting you later on. What are you afraid to loose and also 2.1 is very stable and i highly recommend going to it. But the safe way would be a nandroid restore sorry bud.

I did exactly what you want to do, yesterday. Well worth the effort doing the nandroid thing, and it DID result in a loss of data. But it's silky smooth and has no buggy stuff left over from the old install. I'm not sure you can just update.zip over a 2.0.1 ROM with a 2.1 ROM. It would make you miserable, methinks.

That and I cleaned out a lot of apps I didn't need or want anymore

Download Titanium Back-up from the Market, use that to backup apps and Data..

Do a Nandroid Back-up of your current set-up (all checked)

then do a Nandroid install of the latest 2.1 (0.7) by following Pete's directions in the post on alldroid

after it reboots, use titanuim back-up to restore the apps and data..

that worked for me..

He also has the Smoked Glass theme for 0.7 if you like that too
