Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I have not missed the sd card slot. 32GB onboard is enough for me. In fact, I have only used 3.8GB on my phone :p

I am pretty sure if you give me 32GB, I'll use it up pretty soon. I like to store everything on my phone and loath to delete them, even after I upload them onto my computer.

I don't see what's wrong with having options. It seems like options are bad now-a-days. No SD card option or non removable batteries seem to be the status quo for Android. All this thrend in phones is making Roze sad :(

I just don't understand what is wrong with Android though and its the one thing that annoys me - I understand it takes some more power to have a bigger screen, but...

The iPhone 4S battery is 1432mAh and my girlfriend makes it through the day no problem at all and charges at night. If she is good she can make it two days no problem. The Nexus is 2100mAh (with extended battery) and I can barely make it to 5PM.

3.5" screen to a 4.65" screen doesn't seem like a huge difference, but it really is. A 4.65" screen has an area of 9.24 square inches. A 3.5" screen only has an area of 5.23 square inches. That's a 77% larger area for the Nexus over the iPhone. The nexus only has a 50% larger battery for the extended battery over the iPhone but a 77% larger screen. Factor in the more powerful processor as well and there's your battery difference.

Not only did you answer the question but you did it in a way that all of us non tech/math/engineering people can understand. Well done! :D:beer:

This made me lol for real - only because I just finished updating my "how far in debt am I" spreadsheet. :(

Yeah, I don't like looking at my numbers in that regard either.

Me either. I don't look at those numbers. I smile and make my monthly payments and go on with life. There are now three things for certain in life...death, debt, and taxes. I'm blessed not to have any credit card debt and I could pay off our truck loan if I wanted to, but then we wouldn't have any savings.

Captain Ron, thought of you during the hike with the dog this morning...

seaplane.jpg

Lake defrosted last week and our only airport is now open ;)

Rode in this floatplane a few years back when the roads were closed due to a massive slide. I was the only passenger, so I flew up front with the pilot (who looked to be about 17, but was 27). Took a few side trips since there was no schedule to stick to, flew over the glaciers and lakes. Could only talk through a headset it was so loud. Totally awesome ride. Have you flown one?

Beautiful pic! I've flown a lot of things, but never a float plane. I'm sure flying low altitude around the glaciers and lakes was a spectacular adventure.

Great explanation Geek. Also, doesn't 4G suck up more power than the iPhone's 3G?

How about a glider? Don't need headsets to talk in that, only the sound of the wind. I got to go up in one a long time ago, was awesome. Did some mild aerobatics too. (Wing overs and a hammerhead). Had vultures like 20 feet away soaring in thermals.
