Ok my mom and I have the same phones. She is one of those people who aren't very good with electronics. It took me years to get her to use a cell phone and finally she has upgraded to a Photon 4g... she is doing ok but many times she messes something up and calls me to fix it. Well now its something I cannot identify! There is an icon in the notification/status icon bar that I cannot identify anywhere. I have been googling it for hours to no avail. I installed a screenshot on her phone which was a pain kuz she is not rooted and took a pic with hopes someone out here can identify the bugger for me n help me get rid if necessary!

Ummm...you don't need to be rooted to do a screenshot. Just need to download screengrabber.

I think it would help if you actually posted the pic.

Crazy... but heres a description Its a horizontal telephone with the mouth and ear piece facing downward with 4 lil squares below in and a thick line like a rectangle kind of... Wish i could draw it. Im gonna do my best to try to get it on here.

No problem. Just realize that a lot of customizations and functions don't require rooting. For a while, there have been apps (outside of the market) that allowed screenshots without needing to root. Now, https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5taW5kcGhhemUuc2NyZWVuZ3JhYiJd Screengrabber works without needing to root. You just have to indicate in the settings that the phone isn't rooted. On top of that, posting pics to the forum is very simple if you use a photohosting website or pull the image URL. There's a little icon on the "Post Reply" screen that will set everything up. Click on that and it'll give you a pop-up indicating for you to type in the image URL. Paste the image URL you'd like to insert, and click OK. V-Bulletin will automatically set the image up and proper HTML functions in order for the image to show up on your post.
