Root [ROM][CM9 KANG][Alpha] Updated 3.5.5---6/27/12

I tried to drop in the Arm 6 drivesr and the phone went crazy.... it would boot but then fc fc fc fc fc... it coulndt even bring up the launcher... did you guys drop in the whole folder or just the yamamoto files?

i pushed the yamamoto fw and it seemed either smoother or not changed. i used the libs and my phone wet its pants. i had to wipe it.

All this activity has got me juiced! I have been running the kang (alpha 1) since the day it dropped, with very few issues all in all. I have had friends with high end phones drooling and jealous. Never managed to get alpha3 past md5 check, even when trying replacement. I'm no programmer or Dev by any stretch of the imagination but have no problem flashing or using adb with proper instruction. Been mod'ing my phone since my droid eris on verizon andi must say, I haven't been this excited sinceI first got cyanogen running back then .this little phone is a mofo! great job guys!:thumbup:

hey if you plan on putting the reloaded files,might want to change the browser.maybe to the original ics one

I read that you could flash the zip in cwm but it starts then aborts with no errors

i have no issues with reloaded as of yet..i have been running as primary phone for 3 days..Inigo had smoothed things out with his work with the kernel..but the magic number for window transitions is x2..if we can just get rid of the little bit of lag left we would be in good shape....

concerning the adrenno files....

when i did it i pushed all the files that were the same into its respective location..the files that matched i pulled..the files i wasnt sure about i placed ..well i forget where?....but i had all kinds of trouble..so for now i agree with Inigo about them being junk and a waste of effort..

still working so i cant have fun with all you cool kids yett..the update is nothing major just the reloaded UI for ppl to play with..some system apps need to be changed..i will upload whenever i can get home..inless anyone els has something they feel should be added


Edit.............i really would like to get Quickpic working like it is suposed to..i pushed it with adb then changed perms..but its still acting pissy..only after the first boot..gives some sort of message about jni initalization ..redownload whatever have you..its light and works well so i think its the way to go..much quicker then stock gallery..

it has similar chipset so it may help us fix some things.

for quickpic, the lib suggestion from lordvincent is right. open the apk with 7zip and copy the lib to /system/lib should make it work properly.

can probably get the libqpicjni82.so from ctmods lib folder to do it as well.

Just for curiosity I downloaded the Samsung vibrant ics rom,galaxy mini ics rom,andanakonda ics rom,and galaxy s ics rom let me compare the zips side by side see if i like anything i could use.Looks like another breaking night

also in alpha 3.2 we didnt even use the service.jar..only used it in 3.0.. not really sure why there is no benifit to running V6 on any ROM in my opinion..im a fan of Juwe and Jrummys scripts from AOKP ROMS..ill fix the OP asap
