Bummer. Just came from t-mobile to check out the one s. That is a SWEET piece of equipment. The camera alone is worth upgrading to. The htc reps were there demonstrating it. I brought up the incredible 4g and they told me it will not have the same camera chip. Damn. Might have to switch carriers. He also said it won't be out till next month.

doubt htc people would be very forthcoming with info...

Based on the supposed specs - there is nothing that makes me want to buy this phone and the only thing incredible is how incredibly disappointed I am. The main two shortcomings I see is the VGA FFC and only 8GB of memory. Money is not so much an issue for me - but I am not using my 2-year upgrade for this phone. Too bad - i had high hopes and I like HTC phones (especially if I get an extended battery). I don't like Moto and not getting a 6 month old Rezound. Will just hold onto my original Dinc until something more worthy comes out.

There are rumors (yeah just more what we need) this is merely a mid-level phone and the heavy player here, Razr HD (aka Droid Fighter), will be using the same S4 SoC.

I'm not so sure about that 8GB but hopefully it'll include an SD slot for expansion. VGA front face camera isn't an issue but the heavy disappointment has to be no NFC support. I think Verizon hates the idea of Google Wallet :p

I kind of need a 4G phone very soon since I'm relocating to an area without a decent land line broadband connection and plan to tether to my PC.

I love my Droid X but it is showing its limits. If I upgrade now, I can renew once again just in time for the Tegra 4 LTE phones.

Verizon is gave me an option to upgrade to 4G all the way since last year October when I scheduled for renew this year August.

+1 here(Well I am not disappointed)! Just going to wait it out and see what this phone is actually like. I have an upgrade as well, but won't use it to get this phone on contract, also agree I will not buy a Moto phone. I think they are plain ugly designs.. I have no issue at all hanging onto my original Dinc...

NFC capabilities outed, looks like its confirmed. Same with the s4! May release though likely, luckily that's soon.

Droid Incredible 4G LTE Pops Up Again On Camera – Exposes NFC Capabilities
Really hoping it's an early may, and not mid or late may. I CAN"T WAIT MUCH LONGER... But if its released at anything above 149$, I will wait for the price to drop to at least 149$ or 99$. Anyways, I'm really liking the look of this device. Absolutely perfect for me. The only thing that will be the deal breaker for me is the price.

There's a guy who has the phone on reddit and is willing to answer any questions you guys have. http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/ss5q1/got_my_hands_on_the_htc_droid_incredible_4g_lte/

Also he posted an album of pictures: http://imgur.com/a/L053y

Edit: I also asked the guy a few questions on there. He says that HTC was having a "Product Training" event for the phone, and representatives from stores were chosen and sent to this event. This guy just happened to be randomly selected to go to this. This means launch will most likely happen within the next week or so!

awesome info. maybe the camera will have most of the features that the one series has. the rep i talked to face to face today said no burst mode for the incredible 4g.i hope he was wrong. after watching him demo that feature, it was something i want to have onboard my next device i'll use it for evaluating my golf swing. :D

This has to be one of the most promising leaks I've seen in a while. Even though this isn't official this guy was very informative. I think my faith and patience has been fully restored and will wait a couple of more weeks for this. :ridinghorse:

One of the more interesting comments made by that guy was that there was no SD card included.

A couple reddit commenters were getting pissy about it, but whatever... I have a couple 16GB SD cards (one from DX is sitting in a plastic bag somewhere in my closet), so if that helps bring down the price, good for them.

Oh, and after reading that link, I cannot WAIT until I get my hands on the Inc4G!

Original Dinc owner here. I like my phone, its size and capabilities. I have an extended battery for it and it lasts 1.5 days and fits well in my jean's front pocket. These are my primary wishes for my next phone, size and capabilities. I loved the Rezound but it was just too big and in order to get it to last I would have to add an extended battery that made it a brick.

The Dinc4G looks like it will fit my requirements, mainly it being 4" or below in size, has 4G and will have Sense4.0 and ICS.

Will test it out in the store or maybe take it for a 14day spin. I hope the new processor is good on the battery.

Price does factor in too, I hope it is 200 or below.

No SD card doesn't matter to me. Presumably you have one with your old phone. Do you need another one?

The read is interesting. The main things I'm interested in are wireless charging (love it) and battery life. I need to know what the battery life is on this phone. If it's closer to the Rezound than the DInc2, it's a pass for me.

Yeah, battery life is a big factor for me, too. I can get 24+ hours out of my Inc2. I figure the Inc4G will fall between that and the 8 hours of the Rezound. As long as I can make it through a day, I don't care if it's at 10% or 50% when I put it on the charger at night.

Maybe it wasnt in the demo unit? Not a deal breaker. Cards are cheap.

The hdmi thing is intriguing

You get 8 hours on the Rezound? I'm a bit impressed. I got 6-7 if I was lucky. It was the main reason I took it back. I'm sorry, but suggestions like "turn of LTE" are just stupid. Why buy an LTE phone if you're not going to use the LTE on it?

Because lte isn't needed for everything. Unless you are streaming videos or downloading large files lte is just killing the battery for nothing.

You say similar things about data in general. I've seen people on here brag about how they get 3-4 days of battery life with their phone. They do this by turning off data on their phone. If they want to check email or something, they turn data on and then off again. To me this is equally ridiculous. Why get a smart phone and use it as a dumb phone?

Would it be too much to ask the phone to be inherently capable of managing its own power? I already have a day job, and don't want/need to babysit my phone's battery (like I've been doing for 2 yrs on my original DInc). And I shouldn't have to configure Tasker or some other app to automate the process, either.

If you have a day job it shouldnt be that hard to change it from lte/cdma to cdma in the morning and you are good to go. Its a new tech if you are going to bitch about it not lasting get a 3g phone then.

I never said turn off data. Turning off lte and turning off data are 2 completely different things. The phone still functions plenty fine with 3g only. But of course people always will complain about something.
And by your logic since I have a car that can go 100+ mph I should expect to get the same gas mileage doing 100 as when I do 60.
