Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Anyone here had the Chocolate Cake Batter milkshake at Zaxby's? MMMMMMM.

That...sounds...DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEElightful! We don't have Zaxby's here, but we DO have The Cookout, and they have about 50 flavors of milkshakes. Peanut butter banana is my favorite. And now that you have me thinking about milkshakes, I may have to have one for dinner.

Totally random but found this and really LOL'd.

Hehehehe...yeah, I'm like the "at home" one even in public. :)

Its such a huge difference from writing Javascript / Java at home to working on this 300 line shell script at work.

RPG?? I've heard of Cobol, Perl, etc...but RPG?? Beats assembly though, lol.

Barely.... It was a fun job as I could be writing in anything from RPG to C# in the same day. Really kept me on my toes.

Here goes the "show your age" post - - in college, I took Engineering 10 at UCLA and learned to program on IBM punch cards using Fortran.

The computer took up an entire building and had bulbs inside.:eek:

Except I'm only mid thirties. I did the RPG thing in the late 90s. I did the punch card thing in the early 90s in Uncle Sam's Circus, er, US Army.

I'll take my chances. I want juice to run out and threaten to dribble down my chin when I bite into it.
I agree and will also risk it. An "overcooked" hamburger is a waste of calories.

I hope you noticed my restraint in not being immature regarding "juice to run out and threaten to dribble down my chin." I'm really doing my best to "grow up." :)

Damn, I was counting on you to be able to come up with a carefully worded retort. I had to think carefully to word my original properly. :D

So I am rather bummed out. Was going to take my son to the airshow in Columbia, SC next weekend, to find out the air force has cancelled its A-10, F-15, and F-16 demos for the foreseable future, to cut costs. This decimates the line-up of the show. There was one this weekend in Warner Robins, GA, with the F-22, but just can't get our schedule to work out to make that one, plus its going to be ridiculously hot (92 air temp = 100+ on the tarmac.) He and I have been looking forward to an airshow, and since we are cutting back financially, I actually asked that my birthday present be one of these airshows, and now the only one I can make I don't even want to go to that much anymore.

Oh goodness - that's crazy. We had to learn assembly in college and I am only 23, but it was for a microprocessors class.

Hehe, what language?

I remember being hired by a multinational company as a Programmer Analyst. First project they gave me was creating a sales credit tool for their North American sales force in RPG. Great, just what I wanted to learn at the time was a thirty year old dead programming language. They couldn't even be on Cobol, RPG, seriously.

Just regular UNIX Shell Scripting. Totally different syntax and rules (especially for spacing). Passing parameters in and such, oh man. It's fun though to expand my knowledge.

I forgot how to do that right after I learned. Unfortunately, I forgot most everything I learned about unix right after I learned. Army crash course and then I never had a use for it again until 10 yrs later.

(Short rant ahead)

CISPA just passed in the House, folks :(

When implemented, it will actually encourage companies to share your personal information - including your purchasing habits - with ANY government agency that requests it... all without warrant or subpoena.

Welcome to Amerika.

(Rant concluded)

So I should start buying just adult toys now or later? :p

In all seriousness that sucks.

And WHY do I imagine this is something we might read in BB's office? ;)

I have forwarded this picture to our office manager. She needs one of these for every machine in the office. It may have saved me from spending the day daydreaming of my boss's demise in my head over and over.

I can hook you up. :)

On another note - started going back to the gym recently. Tonight did 38 minutes. Almost 2.5 miles (yeah, I'm a little slow). Total jogging time about 10 minutes. I can do a solid minute without wanting to totally die. Just needed to share.

Congrats! I don't run unless something that can hurt me is chasing me. Even then, I just prefer to carry something heavy - like my purse - to hit them with.

I thought I remembered you being in that business. :D

I am only doing it because my summer clothes don't fit and I don't have the funds to buy a new wardrobe. Oh, and I like eating too much to give it up.
