Morning all. So this story caught my eye this morning, felt I should share.

Delta to Buy U.S. Refinery for $150M | Fox Business

Kind of has a Standard Oil sound to it.
Interesting vertical acquisition. I hope that in the long run they are able to save money and pass the saving to their customers

I just about spit out my Dr. Pepper!!!

Canadians make a racket about mysterious 'hum' coming from US side of border | Fox News

"Locals have said it sounds like a large diesel truck idling, a loud boom box or the bass vocals of Barry White."

LOL
lol, although I'm happy I don't live in Windsor. Just imagine living where you are constantly bombarded with low frequency humming noises

The so-called Windsor hum, described as a low-frequency rumbling sound, has rattled windows and knocked objects off shelves in this border community just across the Detroit River from the Motor City.

I am surprise how the Cdn politians are taking this thing really seriously.
WOWZA...I have no words for their utter stupidity.

Let's just say it was absolute grounds for firing. :(
Fortunately, my bosses (and lovely wife) are really supportive.

Oh man, I hope whatever the work conflict was, it resolves in your favour.

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.

95% done with my iOS app. Need to do some graphics and some icons and fix one issue, but I think it may be a Titanium bug more than code related. I am trying to come up with a solution that fixes it right now, but waiting to hear back from the support team about it. iOS apps need different size icons so gotta work on that tonight. Pretty stoked to get it tested on devices.

Have a ton of ideas for V1.1 including doing an iPad SplitView style and social media integration. But i'd rather just get it in the app store and approved/denied by Apple.

For anyone out there that needs to pull an apk from your gnex to side load to another device, I figured out how to do it. Basically, Siruius xm just released a new apk (first one in forever) but their supported device list is very small. It works flawlessly on the gnex and I wanted to put it on my Asus Transformer running ICS. To do so, I downloaded a free app called File Expert. Then I clicked on the app tab in File Expert and checked the box next to the app that I wanted to save the apk for. It then backed up the apk to / mnt/sdcard/backup_apps. I was able to then email it to myself and open it on the other device. Now we can listen to XM on the tablet as well. This might also be a good solution for when you do not want to upgrade an app, you could save the apk file of the app you are currently using, then allow it to update. If you don't like it, you just re-install the old version. Maybe this can be done with Titanium, I tried, but was not able to figure it out. It did not show it backed up as an apk. File Expert worked great, I can think of a lot of reasons you might want to save an apk file.

That's another way to do it - glad you got it resolved.

Legal in Jersey:D

Most things are legal in Jersey. ;)

Morning everyone!
Got into some big trouble at work yesterday; can't really go into it but let's just say it was a crap day. Well, I have today off so at least I'll be able to relax. It's supposed to be pretty rainy all day so maybe I'll do some apartment cleaning. Lord knows it needs it.

Hope everything works out Dread. Sounds pretty bad, but keep your head up and pull through it.

George Hotz...first guy to hack the iPhone and PS3. Here's his story, from The New Yorker.

George Hotz, Sony, and the Anonymous Hacker Wars : The New Yorker

Read this yesterday - what a good article. I remember when he traded his iPhone for a car and extra iPhones. Pretty interesting stuff in there.

I will be honest, I am surprised my work hasn't blocked this site yet.

My job blocks anything streaming (but only in my office). Stamford office has Pandora, Spotify, Rdio, etc.

So obnioxus that we have different firewalls. They even get Reddit!
We can get Facebook & You Tube, but no streaming radio. Bass Pro Shops and Cabella's is blocked too. Can't figure out the logic.

Facebook - no. YouTube - yes. But only by going to it directly. It gets blocked if trying to go via a link.
I can still get to iwastesomuchtime.com though!
