So, quick poll...I've had 40 installs on my free app and only 2 on my $0.99 app. Should I just remove the paid app off of the market?

Impressive! Perhaps tonight I'll flash a 4.0.4-based ROM and see if that helps me out. I'm hearing here and in various other threads that AOKP is better than the current CM9 nightlies, would all the ROM people here agree that this is the case?

Oh, also, unrelated but relevant, is it true they've got MIUI for ICS now? Anyone got relevant links? I'd really like to try out the screen customizations.

Yeah, mine is at 4% most of the time. My screen is unusally high today though...46% but that's with 1 hour 15 minutes of screen on time. 22% to the Sims (I'm addicted to that game). Have 40% battery left.

I'd say either AOKP or Liquid. I ran AOKP from the time I rooted and recently decided to try Liquid which is nice too.

I'll echo this. Not sure about MIUI, but AOKP has been excellent for me. I've been on it since the first day I rooted and haven't looked back.

I prefer the update and get a key like Stigy did with his app (I think). That way I don't have to uninstall the free and load up the paid. Just unlock the functionality or remove the ads. And like BB said, if it isn't costing anything, why bother?

I guess that's true. I do plan on adding in-app purchase to remove the ads. The only problem with having a free and a paid version with ads is I have to maintain 2 different app projects. Nothing major, but just takes twice as long every time I find a bug or want to add a feature. I have to add it to both and then export both, then upload both.

Got to remember, it is due to a reporting bug, its not actually using less battery.

The offhanded comment was made by me. I have a differing view on the subject. I'm not offended by your view, but I forget that some have your view and are offended if I don't share that same view.

I'm the same way, and tend to forget that, too. Actually, that's not true...I just don't care if people are offended by my view. To me, having different views is what enables humans to progress as a species - which is why I have the view I have.

Keep the paid app or switch to in-app purchase model.

Honestly what I did ended up backfiring. I guess it confused people.

I lost about 20 active installs since I made the change, but I guess that is due to people not being able to find the app anymore in their launcher and maybe getting confused. If I had to do it all over I would've done in-app purchase from the start, just like I am doing with my iPhone app.

I think Spider-Man was the most obvious missing member from the Avengers movie, though obviously who they would've gotten to play him was the issue. However, if the Spider-Man film franchise is in a decent place by the time the next Avengers movie is ready, I'd love to see whoever is playing Spider-Man make the leap.

Others I'd like to see:
War Machine (was awesome in Iron Man 2)
Doctor Strange (Earth's true Sorcerer Supreme - Brother Voodoo who?)
Daredevil
Namor the Sub-Mariner

I have a question about in-app purchased. Is it only once and for that device? I bought a number of in apps purchased on my Nexus One. With my Atrix, I don't have access to those apps, does it require me to buy it again. Caused it looks like that's the case, unless I'm mistaken?

In-app purchases should be tied to your account. I know there used to be problems with not restoring correctly, but that should be fixed.

I'd message the developer asking if the RESTORE_TRANSACTIONS feature is implemented which would restore the transactions for that app that are on your account.
